TL;DR: A stochastic model for delay-Doppler map (DDM) simulation from global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) systems is presented to provide a useful tool for investigating the performance of estimation and retrieval algorithms that are based on finite time series.
Abstract: A stochastic model for delay–Doppler map (DDM) simulation from global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) systems is presented. The aim is to provide a useful tool for investigating the performance of estimation and retrieval algorithms that are based on finite time series. The scattering inside a delay–Doppler cell is modeled as the sum of a random number of contributions from inner specular points that, as the mean number of such contributions gets larger, tends to a compound-Gaussian process. The statistical averages reveal that the model is fully consistent with the previous results provided by Zavorotny and Voronovich. Numerical simulations of large airborne and spaceborne DDMs are easily practicable and show the clear patterns due to signal fluctuations and thermal noise that fade away when the number of averaged observations increases. Comparisons with TechDemoSat-1 data show that the model and the simulation scheme provide accurate realizations of the onboard-processed DDMs.

23 Jun 2019TL;DR: The authors develop the simulation model of energy hub, a model for modeling and simulation of integrated multi-carrier systems for high effectiveness of energy supply to consumers.
Abstract: Integrated multi-energy systems give good possibilities to have high effectiveness of energy supply to consumers. The concept of energy hub is developed for modeling and simulation of integrated multi-carrier systems. Based on previous investigations, in this paper the authors develop the simulation model of energy hub. Basic principles of designing simulation energy hub model are discussed. Realization of simulation model using Matlab/Simulink is suggested. Simulation results for integrated electricity and heat demand systems are explained as the possibilities demonstration of simulation energy hub model.

03 Oct 2011TL;DR: The main contribution of this paper focuses to the development of a flight simulator to provide advanced R/D tool suitable for control design and model evaluation of a quad-rotor systems to be used for control algorithms development and verification before working with real experimental system.
Abstract: The paper regards modeling, control and simulation of a quad-rotor rotorcraft machine that represents an advanced aerial robot. The main contribution of this paper focuses to the development of a flight simulator to provide advanced R/D tool suitable for control design and model evaluation of a quad-rotor systems to be used for control algorithms development and verification before working with real experimental system. The main aspects of modeling of rotorcraft kinematics and rigid body dynamics, spatial system localization and navigation are considered in the paper. Some high-level control aspects are considered, too. Several basic maneuvers (examples) are investigated and simulated in the paper to verify the simulation software capabilities and engineering capabilities.
