TL;DR: It is suggested that various religious communities have adopted and in some cases embrace the Internet as part of their contemporary religious mission and strategy for growth.
Abstract: This study critically examines the ways in which technological modernization and religion co-exist and mutually reinforce one another within the Singaporean context. Interviews with religious leaders of a diverse set of faiths in Singapore about how they understand the role of information technology in religious practice reveal a broad-based acceptance of the Internet and other information technologies and little sense of a danger to religious faith. Contrary to the proposals of secularization theory, these findings suggest that various religious communities have adopted and in some cases embrace the Internet as part of their contemporary religious mission and strategy for growth. The findings further contribute to historical research on the social construction of technology and lend support to emergent research on the spiritual shaping of Internet technology by religious communities seeking to integrate the Internet into their everyday social and religious practices in wired contexts such as Singapore.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the problem of Bedouin girls dropping out from the public school system in the Negev region of Israel, and they promote a post-modern theory that calls for embedding feminine traditional values of local communities as a necessary process in the development of modernity.
Abstract: This study discusses the problem of Bedouin girls dropping out from the public school system in the Negev region of Israel. Data show that this phenomenon results from a conflict between the modern Israeli institutes’ perception of modernity (which promote coeducation) and the Bedouin traditions that remain the cultural ethos of the girls’ fathers. Israeli institutions’ perception of modernity (enlightenment theory) aims to modernize the Bedouins according to Israel’s modern principles, thus revoking traditional Bedouin values (sex separation). This paper promotes a postmodern theory that calls for embedding feminine traditional values of local communities as a necessary process in the development of modernity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors pointed out that one of the key problems hindering the strengthening of cooperation between South Korea and the Russian Federation not only in the energy sector, but also in other areas, is a negative impact in a kind of historical memory of previous experience of cooperation, or rather failure in implementation of projects or lack of implementation in general.
Abstract: One of the key problems hindering the strengthening of cooperation between South Korea and the Russian Federation not only in the energy sector, but also in other areas, is a negative impact in a kind of historical memory of previous experience of cooperation, or rather failure in implementation of projects or lack of implementation in general. Many projects in potentially promising areas remain on paper. Projects have never been implemented include modernization and commissioning by a joint Russian-North Korean enterprise with the participation of Russian Railways of the railway section from the Khasan station (Russia) to the port Rajin in order to transit from South Korea and gain access states of the Korean Peninsula to the Trans-Siberian Railway.
