TL;DR: The feasibility of the virtual grating phase-shifting moire fringe method is achieved by comparing these results with those of ZYGO's and the dynamic phase could be evaluated because the requirement for environment stability is not strict.
Abstract: A novel method for static interferogram analysis, named the virtual grating phase-shifting moire fringe method that is based on virtual grating technology,phase-shifting interferometry and moire technology,is introduced and analyzed. When the static interferogram with a certain spatial frequency is processed by this method, the effects of phase shifting can be attained without any phase shifting error.Furthermore, the dynamic phase could be evaluated because the requirement for environment stability is not strict. Some valuable experiments about this method to measure the angle deviation of a optical cube are carried out and the results are presented. The feasibility of the virtual grating phase-shifting moire fringe method is achieved by comparing these results with those of ZYGO's.

TL;DR: In this paper, a CCD calibration method using grating and gauge block is proposed. The calibration accuracy is proved less than 0.1 pixel by calibrating the standard fringes generated by MATLAB.
Abstract: The measurement based on Talbot effect and Moire fringes is suitable for lens of long focal length. To get the focal length accurately, the width or slope coefficient of Moire fringes are essential parameters. The CCD calibration precision should be improved due to its significant impact on measurement accuracy.A CCD calibration is put forward. The grating is set as the self-reference to calibrate the equivalent length of CCD pixel. The calibration is presented based on image processing and Gauss curve fitting. The calibration accuracy is proved less than 0.1 pixel by calibrating the standard fringes generated by MATLAB.Finally, the CCD pixel is calibrated by grating and gauge block separately, the results show that the calibration method using grating is simple and precise.

TL;DR: In this paper, a flat beam steerable antenna is described, which includes a waveguide for conveying electromagnetic energy and an adjustable moire pattern assembly disposed adjacent to the waveguide.
Abstract: A compact, flat beam steerable antenna is described. The antenna includes a waveguide for conveying electromagnetic energy and an adjustable moire pattern assembly disposed adjacent to the waveguide. The moire pattern assembly is arranged to present varying moire patterns comprised of regions of contrasting conductivity. In use, a direction for transmission of the electromagnetic radiation through the moire pattern assembly can be varied by operation of the assembly to alter the moire pattern.

TL;DR: In this article , a microscopic moir\'e spin Hamiltonian was developed to enable the effective description of MMEIs via a sliding-mapping approach in twisted magnets, as demonstrated in twisted bilayer CrI3.
Abstract: Besides moir\'e superlattice, twisting can also generate moir\'e magnetic exchange interactions (MMEIs) in van der Waals magnets. However, due to the extreme complexity and twist-angle-dependent sensitivity, all existing models fail to capture the MMEIs, preventing the understanding of MMEIs-induced new physics. Here, we develop a microscopic moir\'e spin Hamiltonian that enables the effective description of MMEIs via a sliding-mapping approach in twisted magnets, as demonstrated in twisted bilayer CrI3. Unexpectedly, we discover that the emergence of MMEIs can create an unprecedented magnetic skyrmion bubble (SkB) with non-conversed helicity, named as moir\'e-type SkB, representing a unique spin texture solely generated by MMEIs and ready to be detected under the current experimental conditions. Importantly, the size and population of SkBs can be finely controlled by twist angle, a key step for skyrmion-based quantum computing and information storage. Furthermore, we reveal that the MMEIs can be effectively manipulated by the substrate-induced interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, modulating the twist-angle-dependent magnetic phase diagram, which solves the outstanding disagreements between prior theories and experiments and verifies our theory.

TL;DR: In this paper, an experiment was carried out on the intensity distributions resulting from the superposition of the images formed in the direction of each resultant order to the diffraction and optical interference pattern of a plane amplitude grating viewing a set of slits lying in a parallel plane.
Abstract: An experiment was carried out on the intensity distributions resulting from the superposition of the images formed in the direction of each resultant order to the diffraction and optical interference pattern of a plane amplitude grating viewing a set of slits lying in a parallel plane. The experiment demonstrated the causes of blurring of the moire fringes formed by two gratings separated by an air gap. From experiments conducted with pairs of identical amplitude gratings the blurring of spatial moire fringes is demonstrated by microdensity tracings. It was found that the optical effects did not affect the interfringe spacing of the fringes.
