TL;DR: In this paper, a molecular marker HRM7 of the barley grain length gene LkI2 was used to predict the grain length traits of barley, and a method for identifying the molecular marker was proposed to improve the accuracy of grain length prediction.
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of barley molecular breeding, and in particular discloses a molecular marker HRM7 of barley grain length gene LkI2 and application of the molecular marker. The nucleotide sequence of the molecular marker HRM7, which is closely linked with the barley grain length gene LkI2, is as shown in SEQ ID No.1. Upon detection and analysis, the molecular marker can accurately track the barley grain length gene and predict the grain length traits of the barley, so as to facilitate molecular designing and breeding. The invention also discloses a method for identifying the molecular marker of the barley grain length gene LkI2; by virtue of the method provided by the invention, the accuracy of grain length prediction is enhanced, so that barley varieties or lines having enhanced grain length QTL can be conveniently and rapidly screened out; and the process of selecting high-yield barley varieties can be greatly accelerated.

TL;DR: DArTFest is a DNA microarray developed for the Festuca-Lolium complex, consisting of 7,680 probes, that offers high-throughput and low-cost screening of thousands of genomic loci and conversion to PCR-based markers is in progress.
Abstract: DArTFest is a DNA microarray developed for the Festuca-Lolium complex, consisting of 7,680 probes. As it offers high-throughput and low-cost screening of thousands of genomic loci, it has been successfully used in a number of projects. These include the analysis of interspecific, intraspecific and intravarietal genetic variation, genetic mapping, assigning markers to chromosomal segments, comparative analysis of the Festuca and Lolium genomes against model plant species rice and Brachypodium, an analysis of genomic constitution of Festulolium cultivars and QTL mapping of agronomically important traits such as resistance against crown rust and frost tolerance. In order to facilitate the use of DArT markers linked to traits of interests, a large number of them has been already sequenced and conversion to PCR-based markers is in progress.

TL;DR: Use of molecular technologies will continue to advance becoming an essential tool, combined with traditional selection and crosses techniques already established in capsicum genetic breeding and advanced techniques in biotechnology.
Abstract: Present review a consolidated data of morphology, cultivation pattern, diseases attacking in chilli, breeding methods in chilli and advanced techniques in biotechnology Capsicum genus has perfect flowers where male and female reproductive structures are in the same flowers. Usage of molecular technologies will continue to advance becoming an essential tool, combined with traditional selection and crosses techniques already established in capsicum genetic breeding. Molecular markers are used to characterize the genetic structure of individuals and population’s In vitro clonal propagation of chilli is relatively slower than other members of Solanaceae family because of its recalcitrant nature which makes it difficult to apply recombinant DNA technology. Capsaicin is a potent inhibitor of substance P, a neuropeptide associated with inflammatory processes. Chilli comprises of the following nutrients Proteins, Carotenoids, Fat, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Pro-vitamines E, P, B1, B2, B3, Steroidal alkaloidal glycosides and cholesterol and sodium. Chilli’s are low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium.
