TL;DR: In this article, stripolate interpolates string values using forward, background, or groupwise interpolation, using one of the following methods: linear, cubic, cubic spline, pchip (piecewise cubic Hermite interpolation), idw (inverse distance weighted), forward, backward, nearest neighbour, groupwise.
Abstract: mipolate interpolates yvar on xvar for missing values of yvar. It uses one of the following methods: linear, cubic, cubic spline, pchip (piecewise cubic Hermite interpolation), idw (inverse distance weighted), forward, backward, nearest neighbour, groupwise. stripolate interpolates string values using forward, background or groupwise interpolation.

TL;DR: In this article, the interdiffusion of Co-Ni has been investigated at the temperature 1150 ‡C. The results are interpreted in terms of CoNi equilibrium diagram and compared with the results of other authors.
Abstract: The interdiffusion of Co-Ni has been investigated at the temperature 1150 ‡C. The concentration dependence curvesc(x, t) obtained with the aid of an JXA-3A electron microprobe were evaluated with the use of smoothing cubic spline by means of the Boltzmann-Matano method. The results are interpreted in terms of Co-Ni equilibrium diagram and compared with the results of other authors. On the basis of this comparison a conclusion was drawn which interdiffusion coefficient values can be taken for most realistic in the given system at 1150 ‡C. In the Appendix of this paper a program in the USASI-STANDARD FORTRAN language, generally applicable to the calculations of interdiffusion coefficients with the use of cubic spline, is given.

TL;DR: In this article, the discriminant of the cubic equa tion, adopted in this study as D, comprises of two terms, 1 and 2, and is derived from the general expres sion for the quadratic factor of a cubic equation.
Abstract: In many applications, the solution of a cubic equation is requi red. This study improves on the existing methods of solving cubic equations. The general expres sion for the quadratic factor of a cubic equation is derived. The discriminant of the cubic equa tion, adopted in this study as D, comprises of two terms, 1
