TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a muffler device of a cannon and a tank, which consists of an upper end consisting of a gun barrel, a vent muffler, rear silencing plates, a bore hole and a cannonball head.
Abstract: The invention relates to a muffler device of a cannon and a tank gun. The upper end of the muffler device comprises a gun barrel, a vent muffler, silencing plates, a gun barrel hole and a cannonball head; the lower end of the muffler device comprises a cannonball shell, a bore, a rear vent, a rear muffler, rear silencing plates, a sound filtering iron wire ball and a bore hole. During cannonading, the cannonball head is immediately separated from the cannonball shell and goes forwards under the impact of gunpowder gases; when the bottom end of the cannonball head exceeds the gun barrel hole (the cannonball head is not separated from the gun barrel), strong gunpowder gases immediately rush into the muffler; a plurality of silencing plates are arranged in the muffler, so the sound can be shielded when meeting each silencing plate; when the gases are exhausted from the vent, loud sound is nearly gone; only general sound is generated; the muffler at the lower end has the same theory, namely the cannonball shell is recoiled under the impact of the gunpowder gases; when the cannonball shell is recoiled to the bore hole, ultrahigh-pressure gases enter the rear muffler (the cannonball shell is not separated from the bore), finally the gases are exhausted from the rear vent by shielding of each silencing plate, and the sound is finally weakened to a general level; if the sound is still loud, a rubber ball with water sleeves the front end of the rear vent so as to arrange the exhausted gases in the ball, so environmental pollution is reduced, and smaller sound is realized.

TL;DR: In this paper, a clamping device for an exhaust pipe of an automobile muffler was proposed for coupling flange portions of one pipe and the other pipe facing each other to the inside of the car muffler in a connected state.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clamping device for an exhaust pipe of an automobile muffler for coupling flange portions of one pipe and the other pipe facing each other to the inside of the automobile muffler in a connected state. The clamping device for an exhaust pipe of an automobile muffler includes: one pressure body of a ring structure that is inserted in the outer side of one pipe and placed in close contact with one side of the flange of one pipe; the other pressure body of the ring structure that is inserted in the outer side of one pipe and placed in close contact with one side of the flange of the other pipe; a pressure band part installed to surround one pressure body and the other pressure body in a locked state; and a ring-type clamp installed to wrap the flange of one pipe and the flange and pressure band of the other pipe in a compressed state.

TL;DR: In this paper, a device for discharging condensate from a muffler is provided to prevent the corrosion of the muffler and to extend the lifetime of the exhaust manifold.
Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for discharging condensate from a muffler is provided to prevent the corrosion of a muffler and to extend the lifetime of the muffler since an engine and the muffler are cooled and thus condensate in the muffler is smoothly discharged to the outside. CONSTITUTION: A device for discharging condensate from a muffler comprises a through hole, an intake pipe(110), a discharge pipe(120), an thermoelectric element(114) and a control valve(200). The through hole is formed on the bottom of a muffler case(100). The intake pipe is communicated with the muffler case and inhales exhaust gas. The discharge pipe is communicated to discharge the exhaust gas from the muffler case to the outside. The thermoelectric element is mounted on the intake pipe. The control valve is installed on the through hole to be able to selectively open/close the through hole during the movement and stop of a vehicle. The shape of the control valve changes according to the temperature in the case.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to enable a stable combustion to be performed by a method wherein a fan of a pulse combustion type boiler is always operated in a rated or partial loaded condition during a pulse type combustion and either air or mixture of air and fuel gas is pressurized and supplied.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a stable combustion to be performed by a method wherein a fan of a pulse combustion type boiler is always operated in a rated or partial loaded condition during a pulse type combustion and either air or mixture of air and fuel gas is pressurized and supplied. CONSTITUTION:In a pulse type combustion boiler including a pulse burner, a fan and an exhaust muffler or the like, a fan 4 to be applied for energizing the burner is operated under a rated or partial loaded condition even during a continuous combustion and both air and mixture gas are separately supplied or the mixture gas is pressurized, flowed and supplied. With this arrangement, even with a small-sized fan having a static air pressure of about 50mmAq, an extremely stable pulse type combustion can be continued.
