TL;DR: Two novel dynamic event-triggered control laws are proposed to solve the average consensus problem for first-order continuous-time multiagent systems over undirected graphs and are proved to make the state of each agent converge exponentially to the average of the agents’ initial states if and only if the underlying graph is connected.
Abstract: We propose two novel dynamic event-triggered control laws to solve the average consensus problem for first-order continuous-time multiagent systems over undirected graphs. Compared with the most existing triggering laws, the proposed laws involve internal dynamic variables, which play an essential role in guaranteeing that the triggering time sequence does not exhibit Zeno behavior. Moreover, some existing triggering laws are special cases of ours. For the proposed self-triggered algorithm, continuous agent listening is avoided as each agent predicts its next triggering time and broadcasts it to its neighbors at the current triggering time. Thus, each agent only needs to sense and broadcast at its triggering times, and to listen to and receive incoming information from its neighbors at their triggering times. It is proved that the proposed triggering laws make the state of each agent converge exponentially to the average of the agents’ initial states if and only if the underlying graph is connected. Numerical simulations are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

TL;DR: A coordination multiagent system is proposed with the functions of the agents described to provide more information for the relay coordination besides the relay settings.
Abstract: This paper presents new explorations into the use of agent technology applied to protection coordination of power systems. The impact of distributed generators on protection coordination is firstly discussed. Then a coordination multi-agent system is proposed with the functions of the agents described. In the proposed system, communication plays an important role to provide more information for the relay coordination besides the relay settings. Communication simulation has been carried out on the Java agent development framework (JADE) platform. The information communication process shows that adaptive coordination can be achieved.

TL;DR: In this article, a general model is introduced by presenting two typical examples along with some necessary and sufficient conditions for the system to solve a consensus problem, and the structures of consensus functions are investigated and some algebraic characterisations are given.
Abstract: As a new area of research, consensus problems for multi-agent systems have been studied extensively in the literature. It is usually assumed that all agents share a common one-dimensional state space. The authors of this study concentrate on the consensus problems of multi-agent systems in the framework of high-dimensional state space. As a basis for the analysis, a general model is first introduced by presenting two typical examples along with some necessary and sufficient conditions for the system to solve a consensus problem. Then the structures of consensus functions are investigated and some algebraic characterisations are given. Finally, a class of switched multi-agent systems are discussed and some sufficient conditions for the possession of the consensus property are provided. Several examples to illustrate the effectiveness of theoretical results are given.

TL;DR: The AGALZ (Autonomous aGent for monitoring ALZheimer patients) is an autonomous deliberative case-based planner agent designed to plan the nurses' working time dynamically, to maintain the standard working reports about the nurses's activities, and to guarantee that the patients assigned to the nurses are given the right care.
Abstract: This paper presents an autonomous intelligent agent developed for monitoring Alzheimer patients' health care in execution time in geriatric residences. The AGALZ (Autonomous aGent for monitoring ALZheimer patients) is an autonomous deliberative case-based planner agent designed to plan the nurses' working time dynamically, to maintain the standard working reports about the nurses' activities, and to guarantee that the patients assigned to the nurses are given the right care. The agent operates in wireless devices and is integrated with complementary agents into a multi-agent system, named ALZ-MAS (ALZheimer Multi-Agent System), capable of interacting with the environment. AGALZ description, its relationship with the complementary agents, and preliminary results of the multi-agent system prototype in a real environment are presented.
