TL;DR: The objective is to integrate WordNet into the proposed system aka TextSumIt which condenses lengthy documents into summarized text which produces satisfactory preliminary results on Android mobile phones.
Abstract: The explosion of information in the World Wide Web is overwhelming for readers with limitless information. Large internet articles or journals are often cumbersome to read as well as comprehend. More often than not, readers are immersed in a pool of information with limited time to assimilate all of the articles. As technology advances, it becomes more convenient to access information on-the-go, i.e., portability of information by utilizing mobile devices. In this research, a semantic and syntatic based summarization is implemented in a text summarizer to solve the information overload problem whilst providing a more coherent summary. The objective is to integrate WordNet into the proposed system aka TextSumIt which condenses lengthy documents into summarized text. The empirical experiments show that it produces satisfactory preliminary results on Android mobile phones.

01 Nov 2014TL;DR: The information extraction systems of BUPT_PRIS at Temporal Summarization Track includes data obtaining and preprocessing, index building and query expansion, sentences scoring module, and three methods of query expansion are introduced.
Abstract: : This paper describes the information extraction systems of BUPT_PRIS at Temporal Summarization Track, Which includes data obtaining and preprocessing, index building and query expansion, sentences scoring module. This year only keep one task: sequential update summarization, the task: value tracking is cancelled. For the sequential update summarization we focus attention on queries expansion and sentence scoring. There are three methods of query expansion introduced in this report: WordNets, Word representation, spatial analysis method. We also show the evaluation results for our team and the comparison with the best and median evaluations.

14 Nov 2008TL;DR: This topic also addresses the issue that independently generated information, by multiple authors at different times, may together reveal more information than intended, since the information contained in a single document may on its own be innocuous.
Abstract: The common interpretation of this topic is the accidental release of sensitive information such as e-mail or classified documents. However, this topic also addresses the issue that independently generated information, by multiple authors at different times, may together reveal more information than intended. The public website of a large organization may inadvertently disseminate sensitive information that is more than what is required using a need-to-know policy. The security of publicly disseminated information is a critical component of cyber-infrastructure and homeland security. The key problem in identifying such information involves inferences across multiple documents, since the information contained in a single document may on its own be innocuous. For example, one could synthesize the schedule of an important official by mining the web for announcements of his appearances. Techniques for detecting such vulnerabilities are complex and range from semiautomated methods using search engines to state-of-the-art research in text mining.
