TL;DR: A new design prototype for intelligent content management with multi-tier designs for interfaces is briefed and the paradigms can be applied to databases and query processing applications to predictive analyitics.
Abstract: Business interfaces are designed with intelligent multi-tiers applying agents and intelligent business objects with applications to intelligent WWW interfaces. Basic intelligent content management with multi-tier designs for interfaces are peresented. The field of automated learning has basic applications to data discovery techniques with intelligence multimedia databases. The computing model is based on a novel competitive learning with agent multiplayer game tree planning. The computing techniques, the Morph Gentzen deductive system and its models are applied towards active multimedia a database, model discovery, and customizing interface design. 11 Dec 2000TL;DR: Presents an English-language distance-learning system, using multimedia database and Internet technologies, for Chinese students, called the English Multimedia Corpus, which has as its main function the querying of English sentence patterns in the corpus.
Abstract: Presents an English-language distance-learning system, using multimedia database and Internet technologies, for Chinese students, called the English Multimedia Corpus. Research issues concerning "semantic querying" and "link grammar annotation" are applied to the database. It can promote the query level from keyword-based and content-based queries to the semantic level. These skills of "semantic querying" and "link grammars" have been used to construct the English Multimedia Corpus system, which has as its main function the querying of English sentence patterns in the corpus. The other function of the system is to detect grammatical errors in sentences written by students.

20 Jan 2007TL;DR: This paper first identifies the requirements of the data and query sets for fair performance evaluation of multidimensional indexes, and then proposes HDDQ_Gen (High-Dimensional Data and Query Generator) that satisfies such requirements.
Abstract: Previous researches on multidimensional indexes typically have used synthetic data sets distributed uniformly or normally over multidimensional space for performance evaluation. These kinds of data sets hardly reflect the characteristics of multimedia database applications. In this paper, we discuss issues on generating high dimensional data and query sets for resolving the problem. We first identify the requirements of the data and query sets for fair performance evaluation of multidimensional indexes, and then propose HDDQ_Gen (High-Dimensional Data and Query Generator) that satisfies such requirements. HDDQ_Gen has the following features: (1) clustered distribution, (2) various object distribution in each cluster, (3) various cluster distribution, (4) various correlations among different dimensions, and (5) query distribution depending on data distribution. Using these features, users are able to control the distribution characteristics of data and query sets appropriate for their target applications.

TL;DR: This paper proposes a combination of two systems, GenoMEDIA and Genome3DExplorer, addressing the problem of integrating and visualization of these heterogeneous databases and software utilities within a generic distributed platform.
Abstract: Biological databases have become increasingly important distributed resources in this field. These databases contain a mix of data types, including sequence data, structured data such as molecular weights or GC content, and annotations in terms of controlled vocabularies and, increasingly, ontology such as the gene ontology, as well as free text data in comment fields. The genomic information resulting from this, show however, some characteristics that makes them very difficult to interpret and to exploit. They are stored in huge amount of data, are heterogeneous, and are geographically distributed. This paper proposes a combination of two systems, GenoMEDIA and Genome3DExplorer, addressing the problem of integrating and visualization of these heterogeneous databases and software utilities within a generic distributed platform.
