TL;DR: The Detroit Institute of Arts as mentioned in this paper have two unusual paintings originally done for a little-known mural project by two artists not traditionally associated with large-scale works, including Promenade by Prendergast and Dances by Davies.
Abstract: The Detroit Institute of Arts is fortunate o have two unusual paintings originally done for a littleknown mural project by two artists not traditionally associated with large-scale works. Maurice B. Prendergast (1859-1924) is known primarily for his lyrical watercolors and tapestrylike oils depicting crowded parks and beaches, while Arthur B. Davies (1862-1928) is usually recognized for his pictures of ethereal maidens tripping lightly through imaginary landscapes. The Institute's two mural-size paintings, Promenade by Prendergast (fig. 1) and Dances by Davies (fig. 2), are startling departures from the customary scale and style of both artists.1 Dances is a fine example of Davies' now almost forgotten cubist period of 1914-16, while Promenade is one of Prendergast's more studied experiments with divisionist technique (the methodical application of colors side by side in separate strokes).

TL;DR: The early texts of Branko Fucic (1920 - 1999) mostly comprise poetry and prose, as well as professional and other articles published in the period from 1936 to 1950 as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: This work presents thus far mostly unknown, or overlooked, early texts of Branko Fucic (1920 - 1999). They mostly comprise poetry and prose, as well as professional and other articles published in the period from 1936 to 1950. It also presents a brief overview of the publications in which these works were made public. In addition, attention is drawn to certain social circumstances and the background against which some works were created. The Annex directly complements the biography of a distinguished Croatian historian of art and culture, an expert on the Middle Ages mural painting and the Croatian glagolism, Branko Fucic.
