TL;DR: Los bandidos de Rio Frio as mentioned in this paper is a novel about life in Mexico in the fist half of the 19th Centhury; the plot takes place in a time in which our country was not yet constituted as a nation, it was only a project and it was being built in takes, little by little, through passion, interests, laws and beliefs.
Abstract: Los bandidos de Rio Frio, by Manuel Payno, is a novel about life in Mexico in the fist half of the 19th Centhury; the plot takes place in a time in which our country was not yet constituted as a nation, it was only a project and it was being built in takes, little by little, through passion, interests, laws and beliefs. Between 1836 and 1861 literates, historians and editors were dedicated to articulating a nation, and Payno is found among them. This is why his work can be seen not only from the literary perspective, but also as a book in which the author makes use the novelistic genre to show a true mural cartography.

TL;DR: Goldman's role in preserving David Alfaro Siqueiros's mural America tropical, located on Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles, is discussed in this paper, where the author examines the various articulations of Goldman's foundational analysis and interpretations concerning the mural.
Abstract: This essay discusses activist and art historian Shifra Goldman and her essential role in preserving David Alfaro Siqueiros's mural America tropical, located on Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles. The essay examines the various articulations of Goldman's foundational analysis and interpretations concerning the mural. These reworkings not only situated the artwork and Siqueiros's intent within the local historical context and time frame but also drew connections to the Chicano movement and were informed by Goldman's writings on the popularity and reception of Latin American art in the United States. Through these efforts and texts, Goldman revitalized the campaign she began in 1968 to restore the mural and its visibility to both the general public and a more specialized audience of art and cultural historians.

Abstract: This chapter begins with my personal story and growth as an artist and my identity as a queer woman of colour, pointing to some defining moments within which I have been impacted by the power of art and music. I then describe several projects where I facilitated arts-based processes including a painting workshop amongst Filipina caregivers and first-generation Filipina women, the creation of a community mural in Vancouver’s downtown eastside, a spoken word mentorship, as well as a rap workshop at a youth detention center.

TL;DR: In this paper, a literature review examines and discusses the various aspects of mural making in the context of both traditional art therapy and social action art therapy, finding that mural making can assist in developing social and communication skills, conflict resolution skills and result in a sense of accomplishment and enhanced selfesteem.
Abstract: This literature review examines and discusses the various aspects of mural making in the context of both traditional art therapy and social action art therapy. The goal of this literature review is to explore and examine the therapeutic benefits of the artistic medium of mural making within the context of art therapy. In the context of traditional group art therapy, research indicates that mural making can assist in developing social and communication skills, conflict resolution skills and result in a sense of accomplishment and enhanced self-esteem. Including a brief introduction and history of mural making in America, key themes were discovered throughout the research that lend insight to how murals may aid in individual and collective healing, identity development, as well as aid in social change by serving as a dialogical performance piece, offering opportunities for open discussion and reflection. The murals, themselves, possess the power of imagery and metaphor that may also aid in individual and collective healing and serve as a tangible representation of expression. Mural making, as a community art project, was found to create opportunities to foster community, enhance a sense of belonging and social awareness, and create connection to others, self, and place.

Journal Article
TL;DR: In this article, the integration of contemporary mural painting with architecture and its effects on developing the aesthetical taste of members of society in daily life in Iraq, also in the aesthetic formation of new urban societies was studied.
Abstract: Perceptions have been changed about the arts, architecture, the characteristics of each other’s tasks in shaping of the city’s environment, therefore perceptions about the integration of the arts with architecture in new urban societies have changed too. The artists are interested in architectural designers to rehabilitate the urban environment visually through the development of the landscape in addition to their constant endeavor to emphasize the aesthetical, functional and formative value for the city’s environment, as well as to control the contradictions that can appear to hinder the creative mutual effects of the various elements that involved in shaping the city's environment aesthetically. For that the unity of the mutual influence of the various creative energies will appear to lead to the emergence of drawn spaces and architectural buildings with a new and contemporary vision, in which utilitarian functional factors combine along with aesthetic technical factors that give the moral nature to the city's environment, also to form its total intellectual aesthetic body. In light of this, the research consists of the methodological framework of the research, starting with the problem that revolves around several questions, the most important of which is: 1- What are the things that must be adhered in planning the integration of contemporary mural painting with architecture and its effects on developing the aesthetical taste of members of society in daily life in Iraq, also in the aesthetic formation of new urban societies? The questions has allowed for the researchers to study the effect of integrating the requirements of mural painting with architecture in the city environment, seeing the experiences of some artists and architectural designers through several axes within the second chapter, which dealt with the theoretical framework for research, ending with the most important findings and recommendations.
