TL;DR: In this paper, the authors give Bayesian estimations of mixed exponential distribution with Type-Ⅰ censored data by using conjugate prior distribution based on square loss function.
Abstract: Mixed exponential distribution is a very important statistical model in life data analysis. In this paper, we give Bayesian estimations of mixed exponential distribution with Type-Ⅰ censored data by using conjugate prior distribution based on square loss function. And we prove that the Bayesian estimations are admissible.

Abstract: In this work, we obtain new characterizations of certain probability distributions by relations with different ordered random variables. Such variables include order statistics, sequential maxima, and records. We consider relations that include not only upper, but also lower record values. The presented ordered objects are based on sequences of independent random variables with a common continuous distribution function. We also investigate equalities in the distribution of sequential maxima exposed by various random shifts. These shifts (one-sided or two-sided) have exponential distributions. Certain theorems and their corollaries present corresponding characterizations of distributions by relations of such a type. In addition, we consider exponentially shifted order statistics such that simple relations among them also characterize certain probability distributions. All of the presented results yield a set of characterizations of various distributions. For particular cases, we present the relations that characterize families of classical exponential and logistic distributions.

TL;DR: This article derives the distribution of the order statistics from the trivariate exchangeable t-distribution in terms of the authors' distribution and then an exact expression for the cdf of order statistics is derived.
Abstract: In this article we introduce a new generalization of skew-t distributions, which contains the standard skew-t distribution, as a special case. This new class of distributions is an adequate model for modeling some dataset rather than the standard skew-t distributions. This kind of distributions can be represented as a scale-shape mixture of the extended skew-normal distributions. The main properties of this family of distributions are studied and a recurrence relation for the cumulative distribution functions (cdf) of them is presented. We derive the distribution of the order statistics from the trivariate exchangeable t-distribution in terms of our distribution and then an exact expression for the cdf of order statistics is derived. Likelihood inference for this distribution is also examined. The method is illustrated with a numerical example via a simulation study.

TL;DR: In this paper , a half-Cauchy generalized exponential (HCGE) distribution is proposed on a real dataset and compared the goodness-of-fit attained by proposed distribution with some competing distribution.
Abstract: Half-Cauchy generalized exponential (HCGE) distribution is a novel distribution that we have proposed on in this paper. The quantiles, the measures of skewness based on quartiles, and the measures of kurtosis based on octiles, survival function, the probability density function, hazard function, cumulative distribution function, cumulative hazard function, are just a few of the crucial statistical properties we have derived for the proposed distribution. To estimate the parameters of the half-Cauchy generalized exponential distribution, the maximum likelihood estimation method has been applied. For the evaluation of the new distribution’s potential, we have considered a real dataset and compared the goodness-of-fit attained by proposed distribution with some competing distribution. The suggested model fits the data much better and is more adaptable than some other models.
