Patent

TL;DR: In this article, an organic natural fiber as material paper laminated and united by the use of the swelling reaction of the solution of zinc chloride is combined with an inorganic fiber having no swelling reaction, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber and mineral fiber, so as to prevent the expansion and bending at the bent place owing to the inferior adhesiveness.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber changing little in size by a method wherein material paper is prepared by combining refined natural cellulose pulp with an inorganic fiber whose ratio is less than a fixed percent in relation to the whole paper material and the material paper thus prepared is dipped in the rich solution of zinc chloride, then being laminated, matured, washed by water, dried, pressurized and finished. CONSTITUTION: An organic natural fiber as material paper laminated and united by the use of the swelling reaction of the solution of zinc chloride is combined with an inorganic fiber having no swelling reaction, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber and mineral fiber, so as to prevent the expansion and bending at the bent place owing to the inferior adhesiveness. The ratio of the inorganic fiber is set to be 20% or less in the whole. Since the inorgnaic fiber is free from water- and humidity-absorbing property and is hard and tough, it can control the free expansion and shrinkage of the natural fiber and prevent the change in size. TL;DR: In this article, a vegitable fiber, a bonding agent and an agent to improve friction properties without using asbestos as a basic member and by forming them into layers is presented.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To supply a facing having various excellent friction properties by arranging vegitable fiber, a bonding agent and an agent to improve friction properties without using asbestos as a basic member and by forming them into layers. CONSTITUTION:Vegetable fiber as a basic material is natural fiber the size of which ranges from about 5 through 20mu. The fiber occupies about 40-60wt. out of a total amount of 100wt. A bonding agent made of about 15-30wt. of thermosetting resin such as phenol resin as well as 5-15pts.wt. carbon fiber, rubber dust, metal sulfide, graphite and glass powder as an agent to improve various friction coefficient are added and mixed. And then they are formed into platelike configuration as required. A core plate member is placed between two layers of facing thus formed and bonded. A facing member 9 is then obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to provide high-density active carbon fiber paper not having irregularity in density and blending and useful as adsorption paper by a method wherein fibrous active carbon having a specific fiber length and percentage crimp and other fibrous material are dispersed into water and made into paper.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide high-density active carbon fiber paper not having irregularity in density and blending and useful as adsorption paper by a method wherein fibrous active carbon having a specific fiber length and percentage crimp and other fibrous material are dispersed into water and made into paper. CONSTITUTION: Fibrous active carbon having an average fiber length of 0.5W 10mm and percentage crimp of 3% or less and other fibrous materials in 1:0.1W1:1 weight ratio are dispersed into water, and the dispersion is made into paper to provide active carbon fiber paper. To produce the above fibrous active carbon, regenerated cellulose fiber or novolak crosslinked fiber having an average fiber length of 1W10mm and substantially free from percentage crimp is carbonized and activated by treatment under an atmosphere containing steam at 800W1,000°C. As other fibrous materials, natural fiber such as wood pulp, flax pulp, semi-synthetic fiber such as rayon, synthetic pulp such as polyethylene, inorganic fiber such as asbestos fiber can be used. TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to improve heat insulation performance and to ensure low cost at the same time, by using fibriform laminar bodies with comparatively low density as bases.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat insulation performance and to ensure low cost at the same time, by using fibriform laminar bodies with comparatively low density as bases. CONSTITUTION:Fibriform laminar bodie 1a-1c with 5-30 kg/m density and 5-50mm thickness produced by entwining, weaving or shaping in a webby form natural fiber, such as, wool, cotton, flax, etc., synthetic fiber, such as, nylon, acryl, etc. or inorganic fiber, such as, glass wool, rock wool, asbestos, etc. or by solidifying these by binder, etc. are laminated through non-permeable films 2, such as, paper, a synthetic resin film, metallic foil, etc., and connected and fixed by means of stop tools 3 for penetrating spaces among layers, thus unifying fiber. The desired target can be attained by specifying materials, density and thickness. Varying the thickness, density and materials of said fibriform laminar bodies 1a-1c mutually within specified ranges will also be effective.
