TL;DR: This research applied degree and eigenvector centrality to observe the effect of centrality value for twitter data and shows that there is significant difference among 10 most influential users.
Abstract: Network formed between users in a social media can be used to encourage information spreading among them. This research applied Social Network Analysis which further can be used to social media marketing to improve the marketing process effectively. Based on previous research, information spreading speed among the social media is affected by the users' activity connection which can be represented in centrality value. The centrality value itself is very affected by the graph structure and weights. This research applied degree and eigenvector centrality to observe the effect of centrality value for twitter data. The result shows that there is significant difference among 10 most influential users. This result will be used for the future research that will be focused in small and medium enterprise (SME) twitter data.

TL;DR: It is shown that standard centrality indices, although seemingly distinct, can in fact be expressed in a common framework based on path algebras and preserve the neighbourhood-inclusion pre-order.
Abstract: In the social sciences, networks are used to represent relationships between social actors, be they individuals or aggregates. The structural importance of these actors is assessed in terms of centrality indices which are commonly defined as graph invariants. Many such indices have been proposed, but there is no unifying theory of centrality. Previous attempts at axiomatic characterization have been focused on particular indices, and the conceptual frameworks that have been proposed alternatively do not lend themselves to mathematical treatment. We show that standard centrality indices, although seemingly distinct, can in fact be expressed in a common framework based on path algebras. Since, as a consequence, all of these indices preserve the neighbourhood-inclusion pre-order, the latter provides a conceptually clear criterion for the definition of centrality indices.

TL;DR: A new measure of vulnerability of a node in a complex network is proposed based on the analogy in which the nodes of the network are represented by balls and the links are identified with springs, which suggests that the node displacement has a better resolution of the vulnerability than the information centrality.
Abstract: We propose a new measure of vulnerability of a node in a complex network. The measure is based on the analogy in which the nodes of the network are represented by balls and the links are identified with springs. We define the measure as the node displacement, or the amplitude of vibration of each node, under fluctuation due to the thermal bath in which the network is supposed to be submerged. We prove exact relations among the thus defined node displacement, the information centrality and the Kirchhoff index. The relation between the first two suggests that the node displacement has a better resolution of the vulnerability than the information centrality, because the latter is the sum of the local node displacement and the node displacement averaged over the entire network.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the existence and nature of linkages among a network of community basketball providers and assess the barriers to linkages in a loosely coupled network, wherein issues of power and dependence, uncertainty, and the lack of managerial structures to initiate games are identified.
Abstract: The Canadian Sport Policy advocates for increased interaction among sport organizations as a means to create a more efficient and effective system. The purpose of this study was to explore the existence and nature of linkages among a network of community basketball providers. Network theory focuses on the interconnections of organizations by considering the structural, social, and economic bonds of cooperative behavior. Quantitative data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using network software UCINET 6 to assess the numbers and types of linkages among a network of community basketball organizations (n = 10) in one geographical region. Next, in-depth, semistructured interviews were conducted with leaders from the organizations and from their provincial/national governing bodies (n = 11) to assess the barriers to linkages among these organizations. Results indicated a loosely coupled network, wherein issues of power and dependence, uncertainty, and the lack of managerial structures to initiate...
