TL;DR: A state-of-the-art report on organometallic water complexes of the general composition [L π M(H 2 O) n ] n +, where L π is a carbon π ligand, is presented in this article.
Abstract: A state-of-the-art report on Organometallic water complexes of the general composition [L π M(H 2 O) n ] n + , where L π is a carbon π ligand, arene, cyclopentadienyl (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, Cp * ) or olefin. Systems studied to date are [Cp 2 ( * )Ti(H 2 O) 2 ] 2+ , [Cp( * )Cr(H 2 O) 3 ] 2+ , [Cp * Co(Rh,Ir)(H 2 O) 3 ] 2+ , [(arene)Ru(Os)(H 2 O) 3 ] 2+ , [(TMT)Ru(H 2 O) 3 ] 2+ (TMT = tetramethylthiophene), [(COD, NBD)Ru(H 2 O) 4 ] 2+ (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene; NBD = norbornadiene), [(CO)Ru(H 2 O) 5 ] 2+ , [(C 4 R 4 )M(H 2 O) 3 ] 2+ (M = Ni, Pd, Pt) as well as some olefin aqua complexes of Rh(I). In many of these systems, the tripodal oxygen ligand [CpCo{PO(OR) 2 } 3 ] − can serve as a model for three coordinated water molecules, where tripod complexes are stabilized in comparison with analogous water complexes. Structural, electrochemical and kinetic parameters of water exchange are discussed.

TL;DR: Chiral cationic and neutral Rh complexes are highly active and excellent catalysts for enantioselective hydrogenation of prochiral olefins and ketones under mild reaction conditions as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Chiral cationic and neutral Rh complexes RhX(bichep)(nbd) (XCl,ClO 4 ; nbd=norbornadiene;bichep=2,2′-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)-6,6′-dimethyl-1,1′-biphenyl) are highly active and excellent catalysts for enantioselective hydrogenation of prochiral olefins and ketones under mild reaction conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of bicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2.5,8-Dihydro-5.8-methanophthalazine with hydrazine was used to give an N-oxide derivative.
Abstract: 5,8-Dihydro-5,8-methanophthalazine, prepared by the reaction of bicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2,5-diene-2,3-dicarbaldehyde with hydrazine, reacted with MCPBA to give an N-oxide. Further oxidation with MCPBA afforded the corresponding exo-6,7-epoxy derivative. Treatments of the epoxide and its diphenyl-substituted derivative with trifluoroacetic acid gave 6,9-bis(trifluoroacetoxy) derivatives by a regioselective ring-opening of the oxirane, accompanied by Wagner–Meerwein rearrangement. The bis(trifluoroacetoxy) derivatives were converted to the corresponding diols for elucidation of their regio- and stereochemistry.

TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrasonic generator was used to accelerate a heterogeneous catalytic reaction by irradiating ultrasonic waves on the reaction system to vibrate the reaction systems. But the results showed that the rate of conversion was not increased by the vibration.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To accelerate a heterogeneous catalytic reaction by irradiating ultrasonic waves on the reaction system to vibrate the reaction system. CONSTITUTION:Quadricyclene is converted into norbornadiene by isomerization in the presence of palladium asbestos as a catalyst. Ultrasonic waves of 100V are irradiated on the reaction system of such a heterogeneous catalytic reaction from a commercially available ultrasonic generator for about 7hr to vibrate the reaction system. By the vibration, conversion is accelerated and the rate of conversion is increased.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method for the synthesis of β,β"-dihaloalkyl vinyl sulfides was proposed, based on reactions of alkenesulfenamides with olefins in the presence of POCl3 or POBr3.
Abstract: A new method for the synthesis of β,β"-dihaloalkyl vinyl sulfides was proposed. The method is based on reactions of alkenesulfenamides with olefins in the presence of POCl3 or POBr3. The reactions with cage olefins (norbornene, norbornadiene, camphene, and dimethyl 5,6-di-endo-norbornenedicarboxylate) afford stable products, while vinylsulfenylation of a conformationally labile olefin (cyclohexene) give products that decompose during their isolation.
