TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and properties of normal π-cycloolefin Rhodium complexes are described, in which the central metal achieves a 16-and 18-electron valence shell, respectively.
Abstract: Durch Umsetzung von [LRhCl]2(L = 1,5-Cyclooctadien, 1,3,-Cycloheptadien, Norbornadien) und von[C5 (CH3) 5RhCl2]2miti-C3H7MgBr in Gegenwart cyclischer Oligoolefine unterschiedlicher Ringgrose wurden neutrale π-Komplexe des Typs [(Dien)RhI(Allyl)] und [(Dien)RhI(Dienyl)] synthetisiert, in denen das Zentralmetall eine 16- bzw. 18-Elektronen-Valenzschale erreicht. Synthesis and Properties of Normal π-Cycloolefin Rhodium Complexes By reactions of [LRhCl]2, (L = 1,5-cycloheptadiene, 1,3-cycloheptadiene, norbornadiene) and of [C5(CH3)5RhCl2]2 with i-C3H7MgBr in the presence of cyclic oligoolefins with different ring size neutral π-complexes of the type [(diene)RhI(allyl)] und [(diene)RhI(dienyl)] were synthesized in which the central metal achieves a 16- and 18-electron valence shell, respectively. The spectroscopic and several chemical properties of the compounds are described. In contrast to the 16-electron complexes some of the 18-electron compounds show a fluxional behaviour.

TL;DR: In this article, the application of the copper chloride-catalysed addition of substituted aromatic sulphonyl chlorides to ethylene and butadiene is extended to sulphonic chlorides carrying bromine, carboxy, chloromethyl, chlorosulphonyl, and 2-chloroethylsulphonic substituents.
Abstract: Application of the copper chloride-catalysed addition of substituted aromatic sulphonyl chlorides to ethylene and butadiene is extended to sulphonyl chlorides carrying bromine, carboxy-, chloromethyl, chlorosulphonyl, and 2-chloroethylsulphonyl substituents. Several ethylene adducts are further transformed by chlorosulphonation, dehydrochlorination, and oxidation of a methyl to a carboxy-group.The cis–trans-isomerisation of but-2-ene by toluene-p-sulphonyl chloride at 100° is discussed. The isomerisation has a radical-chain character, is strongly retarded by chloride ions, and is completely inhibited by norbornadiene.

TL;DR: In this article, the reactions of [C 5 H 5 Ni(Diene)]BF 4 (Diene = norbornadiene or 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with the methoxide anion OMe − in methanol give the uncharged complexes C 5H 5 NiC 7 H 8 OMe (IV) and C 5 H5 NiC 8 H 12 OME (VI) respectively.
