TL;DR: In this article, the electric field gradient at Hf sites in amorphous alloys was measured for x = 0.33, 0.44, and 0.59 with use of the time-differential perturbed angular correlation technique.
Abstract: The electric field gradient (EFG) at Hf sites in amorphous ${\mathrm{Hf}}_{1\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{x}}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{\mathrm{x}}$ alloys was measured for x=0.33, 0.44, 0.50, and 0.59 with use of the time-differential perturbed angular correlation technique. The results show no evidence of crystallinelike local order in these alloys, supporting a description of their local structure in terms of a dense random packing of atoms. The local and lattice contributions to the EFG, as well as their dependence on composition, are discussed.

07 Mar 2013TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for applying nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) sequences to a substance and determining presence of a chemical species within the substance using the sequences are described.
Abstract: A method and system for applying nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) sequences to a substance and determining presence of a chemical species within the substance using the sequences are described herein. The method includes applying an NQR pulse sequence to the substance using a non-resonant transmitter circuit. The method further includes detecting a NQR signal within the substance and determining presence of a chemical species within the substance using the NQR signal.

Abstract: Abstract A large number of solid fluoride and heteroligand acidocomplex compounds of antimony(III) and bismuth(III) with single and mixed cations has been prepared from aqueous solutions. Their crystal structures and 121,123Sb and 209Bi NQR spectra have been investigated in a wide temperature range.
