TL;DR: In this article, the Zeeman effect on the higher lines was examined by using single crystals in order to deduce the asymmetry parameters of the electric field gradient tensor, which were found to be 0.29, 0.31, and 0.33 for X=Cl, Br, and I, respectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic and superconducting phase diagram of Th-doped Ce 1- x Th x Cu 2.2 Si 2 has been established by Cu NMR and NQR technique and is compared with that of CeCu 2.
Abstract: The magnetic and superconducting phase diagram of Th-doped Ce 1- x Th x Cu 2.2 Si 2 has been established by Cu NMR and NQR technique and is compared with that of CeCu 2.02 Si 2 . Static magnetic ordering with T N =2.4 K and 4.5 K for x =0.08 and 0.12, respectively, is evidenced by a pronounced broadening of the 63 Cu-NQR and -NMR spectra and a pronounced anomaly in the specific heat. In contrast, for the lightly Th-doped compounds with x ≤0.064, there has been observed neither a signature of a broadening of the NQR and NMR spectra nor an anomaly of the specific heat, but a dramatic reduction of the NMR and NQR intensities below a temperature ranging from 0.9 K to 1.3 K upon increasing Th-content. It is emphasized that the unusual “ magnetic transition ” found in undoped and lightly Th-doped CeCu 2.2 Si 2 should be distinguished from the static magnetic ordering in the heavily Th-doped systems.

TL;DR: In this article, the 35Cl n.q.r. spectra of several octahedral complexes of tin tetrachloride, SnCl4L2(L = donor ligand), have been measured as a function of temperature between 77 K and room temperature.
Abstract: The 35Cl n.q.r. spectra of several octahedral complexes of tin tetrachloride, SnCl4L2(L = donor ligand), have been measured as a function of temperature between 77 K and room temperature. The significance of the n.q.r. data to the question of the cis or trans relationship of the two ligands is discussed and it is shown that the n.q.r. results must be interpreted with considerable caution.

TL;DR: This technique provides information on the location and polarizability of atoms near nuclear quadrupole moments in noncentrosymmetric crystals.
Abstract: Precessing nuclear quadrupole moments are observed to induce oscillating electric dipole moments in neighboring atoms. The $^{35}\mathrm{Cl}$ nuclei of a single crystal of NaCl${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ placed between the plates of a capacitor are excited into precession by a rf pulse. After the pulse, the electric polarization induced by the chlorine nuclear quadrupole moments produces a voltage across the capacitor, which is amplified with a dc SQUID. This technique provides information on the location and polarizability of atoms near nuclear quadrupole moments in noncentrosymmetric crystals.
