TL;DR: Notable developments during this period include the emergence of a close partnership between vendor and operator and technological advances, such as mobile bike-docking stations that can be moved to different locations and real-time bike/station tracking to facilitate system rebalancing and provide user information.

TL;DR: This communication is a first step towards a general approach to fuzzy set-theoretic operators, i.e. algebraic operators which coincide with set-operators when membership values are crisp, which can be crucial in decision analysis, information retrieval, pattern recognition and more.
Abstract: This communication is a first step towards a general approach to fuzzy set-theoretic operators, i.e. algebraic operators which coincide with set-operators when membership values are crisp. Some properties of subclasses of such fuzzy set-theoretic operators are investigated. Specific examples are given. An attempt to discuss a possible interpretation of these operators is proposed. The choice of a good operator in a given practical situation can be crucial in decision analysis, information retrieval, pattern recognition for the purpose of aggregating several pieces of information.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the technique of pseudodifferential operators and its applications, especially to the Dirac theory of quantum mechanics, in the solution of boundary problems for partial differential equations.
Abstract: Pseudodifferential operators arise naturally in the solution of boundary problems for partial differential equations. The formalism of these operators serves to make the Fourier-Laplace method applicable for nonconstant coefficient equations. This book presents the technique of pseudodifferential operators and its applications, especially to the Dirac theory of quantum mechanics. The treatment uses 'Leibniz formulas' with integral remainders or as asymptotic series. A pseudodifferential operator may also be described by invariance under action of a Lie-group. The author discusses connections to the theory of C*-algebras, invariant algebras of pseudodifferential operators under hyperbolic evolution and the relation of the hyperbolic theory to the propagation of maximal ideals. This book will be of particular interest to researchers in partial differential equations and mathematical physics.

TL;DR: This study analyzes the induced aggregation operators, focusing on the aggregation step and examine some of its main properties, including the distinction between descending and ascending orders and different families of induced operators.
Abstract: In this study, we analyze the induced aggregation operators. The analysis begins with a revision of some basic concepts such as the induced ordered weighted averaging operator and the induced ordered weighted geometric operator. We then analyze the problem of decision making with Dempster-Shafer (D-S) theory of evidence. We suggest the use of induced aggregation operators in decision making with the D-S theory. We focus on the aggregation step and examine some of its main properties, including the distinction between descending and ascending orders and different families of induced operators. Finally, we present an illustrative example in which the results obtained with different types of aggregation operators can be seen. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
