TL;DR: Dibenzo[hi,st]ovalene (DBOV)-a quasi-zero-dimensional "nanographene"-displays strong, narrow, and well-defined optical-absorption transitions at room temperature, and strong coupling of the 0 → 0' electronic transition to a confined cavity mode is demonstrated.
Abstract: Dibenzo[hi,st]ovalene (DBOV)-a quasi-zero-dimensional "nanographene"-displays strong, narrow, and well-defined optical-absorption transitions at room temperature. On placing a DBOV-doped polymer film into an optical microcavity, we demonstrate strong coupling of the 0 → 0' electronic transition to a confined cavity mode, with a coupling energy of 126 meV. Photoluminescence measurements indicate that the polariton population is distributed at energies approximately coincident with the emission of the DBOV, indicating a polariton population via an optical pumping mechanism.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors observed the dressed-exciton oscillating emission in the time domain and associated spectral splitting in the frequency domain from a GaAs single quantum well microcavity over a very broad range of cavity resonant wavelengths.
Abstract: We have observed the dressed‐exciton oscillating emission in the time domain and the associated spectral splitting in the frequency domain from a GaAs single quantum well microcavity over a very broad range of cavity resonant wavelengths. The spectral splitting and temporal oscillation period have been measured to be nearly constant over two orders of magnitude variation of pump intensity, which confirms the linear bosonic feature of Wannier excitons in the weak excitation regime.

TL;DR: In this article, the lasing operation of a ZnO planar microcavity under optical pumping is demonstrated from T=80 K to 300 K. At the laser threshold, the cavity switches from the strong coupling to the weak coupling regime.
Abstract: The lasing operation of a ZnO planar microcavity under optical pumping is demonstrated from T=80 K to 300 K. At the laser threshold, the cavity switches from the strong coupling to the weak coupling regime. A gain-related transition, which appears while still observing polariton branches and, thus, with stable excitons, is observed below 240K. This shows that exciton scattering processes, typical of II-VI semiconductors, are involved in the gain process.

TL;DR: In this article, superlattice polariton dispersion is obtained and the effect of embedding the structure in an optical microcavity is discussed, and superradiant decay and energy shifts of an exciton in a multi-quantum well interacting with the vacuum electromagnetic field are studied.
