Abstract: While the link between transformational leadership and follower job performance has been established, the individual-level mechanisms underlying this relationship remain unclear. In this study, we investigate the salience of the mediating role of organizational identification in explaining the process by which transformational leaders elicit higher performance among followers. Based on social identity theory, we argue that transformational leadership positively affects the job performance of the employees who report to them as those feel a stronger emotional bond to their organization.

Abstract: Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is an important aspect to achieve the best performance of lecturers in universities. OCB is not only for extra role behavior beyond the job description, but also resulted at changes in performance by providing creative ideas for changes in the organization. OCB directed at changes in performance built through Perceived Organizational Support, which cause Organizational Identification and Affective Commitment. The appearance of OCB directed at changes in performance of lecturers in universities can be supported by Creative Organizational Climate.
