Abstract: With an empirical study in two nonprofit industries (a money-collecting and blood-collecting organization), the authors investigate how organizational identification and identity salience together function in relation to satisfaction, loyalty, and behavior. They develop and test a model that best represents relationships featuring donor-nonprofit identification and donor identity salience in existing satisfaction-loyalty studies. Overall, the study empirically confirms that donor-nonprofit identification and donor identity salience are distinct constructs and that both have direct positive effects on loyalty, but not that much on donations. Within the money donation context, both identification constructs have stronger total effects on donor loyalty than donor satisfaction, whereas in the blood donation context, donor satisfaction has a stronger effect on loyalty. Abstract: In this study a model was developed to examine through the mediator of perceived organizational support (POS) how distributive, interpersonal and informational justice affects the extent to which employees identify with an organization. This model was tested on 159 employees of several service organizations. Results indicated that the positive effects of interpersonal justice and informational justice on organizational identification were fully mediated by POS. Unexpectedly, distributive justice was unrelated to POS, but directly linked to organizational identification. Results were discussed in terms of their implications for research on organizational justice, POS and organizational identification.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the associations among psychological empowerment, perceived organizational support (POS), trust in supervisor, and organizational identification. In particular, this study posits that trust in supervisor moderates the relationships between psychological empowerment, POS, and organizational identification. Blue collar employees from the shipping industry in Turkey are selected as the main target of this study. A total of 518 questionnaires were analysed. Results indicate that all the dimensions of psychological empowerment, namely goal internalization, perceived competence, and perceived control, POS, cognition- and affect-based trust in supervisor are positively associated with organizational identification.
