TL;DR: In this article, an aqueous solution of mercuric diacetate with cysteine, or glutathione, or acetylcysteine was used for the production of sulfur-containing organomercury compounds.
Abstract: FIELD: pharmacology.SUBSTANCE: method for production of sulfur-containing organomercury compounds of the formula RS-Hg-SR, where R is,or,or,respectively, by reacting an aqueous solution of mercuric diacetate with cysteine, or glutathione, or acetylcysteine, followed by isolation of the product obtained by filtration, washing with water and drying at a room temperature to the constant weight. The reaction is carried out at a molar ratio of mercury and cysteine or glutathione or acetylcysteine of 1:2, and the reaction mixture is kept at a room temperature for 45-90 minutes.EFFECT: increased yield of the desired product with a significant simplification of its production method.3 cl, 4 tbl, 3 ex

TL;DR: In this paper, β-substituted homo- and hetero-metallic trianions of the type C (Ph) with alkali metal cations (Li, Na, and K) were obtained from β-sourced organomercury compounds via low temperature mercury-alkali metal transmetallation; the lithiated trianion reacts regioselectively at both carbanionic carbon atoms with electrophilic agents such as D2O, EtBr, Me2S2, and Me3SiCl.
Abstract: New β-substituted homo- and hetero-metallic trianions of the type C (Ph) with alkali metal cations (Li, Na, and K) are obtained from β-substituted organomercury compounds via low temperature mercury–alkali metal transmetallation; the lithiated trianion reacts regioselectively at both carbanionic carbon atoms with electrophilic agents such as D2O, EtBr, Me2S2, and Me3SiCl.
