TL;DR: In this paper, a communication system including an antenna array with feed network coupled to communication electronics is described, where each OMT is adapted to provide at a first component signal having a first polarization and a second component signal with a second polarization.
Abstract: A communication system including an antenna array with feed network coupled to communication electronics. In one example, a communication subsystem comprises a plurality of antennas each adapted to receive an information signal and a plurality of orthomode transducers coupled to corresponding ones of the plurality of antennas, each OMT is adapted to provide at a first component signal having a first polarization and a second component signal having a second polarization. The communication subsystem also comprises a feed network that receives the first component signal and the second component signal from each orthomode transducer and provides a first summed component signal at a first feed port and a second summed component signal at a second feed port, and a phase correction device coupled to the first and second feed ports and adapted to phase match the first summed component signal with the second summed component signal.

TL;DR: In this article, a dual band, higher and lower frequency range transducer with a circular coaxial waveguide feed is described having a first junction for connection of a lower frequency-range outer waveguide of the coaxial feed to at least two rectangular or ridge waveguides offset from the longitudinal axis of the transducers, and a second junction for connecting the at least rectangular-or ridge waveguide to a further waveguide.
Abstract: A dual band, higher and lower frequency range transducer with a circular coaxial waveguide feed is described having a first junction for connection of a lower frequency range outer waveguide of the coaxial waveguide feed to at least two rectangular or ridge waveguides offset from the longitudinal axis of the transducer and a second junction for connection of the at least two rectangular or ridge waveguides to a further waveguide. A third junction is provided for connecting an inner waveguide of the coaxial waveguide feed to a higher frequency range waveguide. The transducer comprises at least first and second parts joined across a first plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and including at least a portion of the higher frequency range waveguide extending within the first plane of the join. A seal such as an “O” ring seal may be placed easily in the plane of the join thus preventing moisture ingress. Similarly, a feed horn and input and output ports may be sealingly attached to the first and second parts of the transducer. The first and second junctions are preferably impedance matched turnstile junctions.

TL;DR: In this article, a dual-band feed arrangement for a microwave antenna provides microwave communication in a lower band and in a substantially widened upper band to provide simultaneous microwave communication for three signals.
Abstract: A dual band feed arrangement for a microwave antenna provides microwave communication in a lower band and in a substantially widened upper band to provide simultaneous microwave communication for three signals. One signal in the lower band propagates between the outer and inner conductors of a coaxial waveguide in the TE11 coaxial mode, and two signals in the upper band propagate in the inner conductor in TE11 circular waveguide mode. A combiner, having a conically shaped section with a plurality of irises through its sidewall, is coupled to the coaxial waveguide to provide a transformation from the TE11 modes to the HE11 waveguide modes for each of the three signals. A dielectric rod extends from within the inner conductor and into the horn antenna for propagating the second signal out of and into the antenna.

TL;DR: In this paper, an orthomode transducer with a circular waveguide input and two rectangular waveguide outputs is described, which utilizes a turnstile junction and two E-plane power combiners.
Abstract: An orthomode transducer with a circular waveguide input and two rectangular waveguide outputs is described. The design utilizes a turnstile junction and two E-plane power combiners. A K-band version of this device has been constructed and tested. From 18 to 26 GHz, the input reflection coefficient was less than -19 dB, the cross-polarization was less than -48 dB, and the transmission loss was ~0.15 dB. We estimate the mechanical tolerances that would be required to scale this device to the 200-270-GHz band for use in a dual-polarization radio-astronomy receiver
