TL;DR: Theoretical models for rail internal self-inductance and resistance are proposed in this article, which include material saturation and hysteresis, using experimentally derived ferromagnetic material B-H loops.
Abstract: Theoretical models for rail internal self-inductance and resistance are proposed which include material saturation and hysteresis. Model data are obtained using experimentally derived ferromagnetic material B-H loops. Analytical methods for deriving the impedance variations with current and frequency for large-signal AC and incremental AC superimposed on DC excitation are in agreement with experimental measurements.

Abstract: A system and method for the automatic detection and matching of power line impedance which makes use of level detection and source impedance circuits in electronic communication with the existing circuitry of a power line communication devices are disclosed. This invention uses modified power line communication device circuitry to sense the impedance of the power line and to correct its impedance to match the impedance of the power line. By automatically sensing and adjusting the source impedance of the power line jack this invention maximizes power transfer to and from the power line, reduces radiated power as well as the power line reflection coefficient.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an approach and method for obtaining stable matching networks for plasma tools for use in the plasma processing industry, running at a matched condition for a transmission line and the plasma tool matching network such that the input impedance at the input to the transmission line is different than that of the output impedance of an RF generator.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for obtaining stable matching networks for plasma tools for use in the plasma processing industry. In an RF plasma apparatus, running at a matched condition for a transmission line and the plasma tool matching network such that the input impedance at the input to the transmission line is different than that of the output impedance of an RF generator and such that when the plasma density in the plasma tool decreases the input impedance will match the output impedance of the generator.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the internal impedance of a lead-acid battery is controlled by charge transfer and diffusion processes in the frequency range 15-100 Hz. But this was based on a uniform transmission line analog equivalent circuit for the battery electrodes.
Abstract: The determination of the state-of-charge of the lead-acid battery has been examined from the viewpoint of internal impedance. It is shown that the impedance is controlled by charge transfer and to a smaller extent by diffusion processes in the frequency range 15–100 Hz. The equivalent series/parallel capacitance as well as the a.c. phase-shift show a parabolic dependence upon the state-of-charge, with a maximum or minimum at 50% charge. These results are explained on the basis of a uniform transmission-line analog equivalent circuit for the battery electrodes.

TL;DR: In this paper, techniques for recovery from a low impedance condition during cathodic arc or electric vapor thin film processes are disclosed, followed automatically by active clearing of the cloud to return it to the proper impedance or resistance state.
Abstract: Techniques for recovery from a low impedance conditions during cathodic arc or electric vapor thin film processes are disclosed. Sensing of a low impedance condition is achieved followed automatically by active clearing of the cloud to return it to the proper impedance or resistance state. Active clearing is accomplished by a progressive increase in the output of bias voltage supply. Regulation of the bias voltage supply switches between voltage or power modes and a current mode of regulation. Circuitry disclosed is designed to readily modify existing power supplies to achieve the methods discussed and to linearly increase the current output by it.
