28 Jul 1993TL;DR: In this paper, a method of constructing or reconstituting a shaft and paddle assembly for mixers and processors is presented, where radially aligned paddles on parallel shafts rotating at the same speed in the same direction of rotation both co-wipe and completely wipe the interior of the barrel of the mixer or processor which has a mixer chamber comprising interconnecting cylindrical bores.
Abstract: A method of constructing or reconstituting a shaft and paddle assembly for mixers and processors wherein radially aligned paddles on parallel shafts revolving at the same speed in the same direction of rotation both co-wipe and completely wipe the interior of the barrel of the mixer or processor which has a mixer chamber comprising interconnecting cylindrical bores. The co-wiping paddles are formed with paddle bores of a configuration comprising alternating lobular projections and root recesses, and arcuate corner portions on the lobular projections and root recesses. The arcuate corner portions of the projections are tangential to the arcuate corner portions of the root recesses. The shafts are formed with intermeshing matching projections and root recesses.

TL;DR: A water paddle used for surface and underwater swimming, snorkeling, water aerobics and other water exercises as discussed by the authors is a hand held, lightweight, flexible plastic, hydrodynamic paddle disk.
Abstract: A water paddle used for surface and underwater swimming, snorkeling, water aerobics and other water exercises. The water paddle includes a hand held, lightweight, flexible plastic, hydrodynamic paddle disk. A front of the paddle disk is flat or concave in shape for increasing or decreasing water resistance when moving the paddle in the water. Also, the paddle disk has a minimal thickness of ⅛ inch or less for allowing the flexing of the disk. An adjustable strap is received through a pair of parallel strap slots in the disk. The adjustable hand strap allows a swimmer to adjust his or her hand at various positions on the back of the paddle disk. The hand can be adjusted for allowing the disk to cover the fingers and palm of the hand in a first position. Also, the hand can be moved upwardly allowing the fingers to extend beyond the upper edge if need be in a second position and reduce pressure against the wrist of the swimmer.

TL;DR: A vehicle mounted feed hopper device has an enclosure upon a base, the enclosure having a V shape, at least one paddle mixer within the enclosure, a conveyor beneath the paddle mixer, an outlet proximate one end of the conveyor, a chain drive connected to the paddle mixers, and a hydraulic motor driving the chain drive through gearing as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A vehicle mounted feed hopper device has an enclosure upon a base, the enclosure having a V shape, at least one paddle mixer within the enclosure, a conveyor beneath the paddle mixer, an outlet proximate one end of the conveyor, a chain drive connected to the paddle mixer and the conveyor, and a hydraulic motor driving the chain drive through gearing. The device operates like a horizontal screw total mixed ration, but at a smaller scale. The invention accepts multiple grain products through its top and mixes them to blends suitable for livestock, except for roughage products which exceed the capacity of this device. The device dispenses its mixed feed through the outlet as it meters feed into feed bunks for the livestock.

11 Jan 2005TL;DR: An improved paddle apparatus for kayaks, canoes, or like water craft having a plurality of hand grips mounted to allow dynamic rotation relative to the paddle shaft to allow the wrist to remain in a natural position while paddling and still allow full power to be transferred from the blade into the water.
Abstract: An improved paddle apparatus for kayaks, canoes, or like water craft having a plurality of hand grips mounted to allow dynamic rotation relative to the paddle shaft to allow the wrist to remain in a natural position while paddling and still allow full power to be transferred from the blade into the water. Also a means of paddling whereby the operator can paddle with greater power and control on either side of the watercraft without breaking either handgrip. A further improvement includes using the handgrip in the position perpendicular to the paddle shaft to determine the blade position by feel and steer with greater torque. An alternative embodiment includes rotation of the grip itself, further reducing the twisting of the wrists and other joints.

TL;DR: In this paper, a planar paddle member is mounted at one end of an elongated handle or grasping member, and a frame is suspended there from a stocking member, which can be coplanar.
Abstract: A paddle apparatus (10) for use in a paddle ball game is disclosed. The apparatus (10) includes a generally planar paddle member (14) mounted at one end of an elongated handle (20) or grasping member. At the opposite end of the handle (20) a frame (34) having a stocking member (40) suspended therefrom is mounted. In a preferred embodiment, the frame (34) and paddle member (14) can be substantially coplanar.
