TL;DR: In this article, a through-flow type stirring paddle was proposed to increase the efficiency of the traditional stirring paddle by more than 35% and reduce the energy consumption by 20% under the identical working condition.
Abstract: A stirring paddle is the foremost functional component of a stirring and mixing device. The utility model discloses a through-flow type stirring paddle which is characterized in that through-flow holes are arranged on a traditional stirring paddle. The utility model used on the stirring and mixing device can overcome the defects effectively that the traditional stirring paddle has low efficiency, and high energy consumption; when the utility model is used for stirring the system media of liquor-liquor or liquor-solid with non-uniform density, insufficient medium stratification in varying degrees exist. Compared with the traditional stirring paddle under the identical working condition, the through-flow type stirring paddle can increase the efficiency by more than 35% and reduce the energy consumption by more than 20%.

TL;DR: In this article, a system for handling articles which are to be moved from a supporting surface to a receiving area comprising an article engaging paddle and associated drive means is presented. But the paddle is not designed to be pivotally connected relative to the conveyor and a cam is positioned for engaging the paddle just prior to its movement into article engaging position.
Abstract: A system for handling articles which are to be moved from a supporting surface to a receiving area comprising an article engaging paddle and associated drive means. The drive means comprise a conveyor for moving the paddle over the supporting surface with the paddle in article engaging position. The conveyor automatically locates the paddle out of article engaging position upon return movement of the paddle, and then brings the paddle into position for engaging a succeeding article on the supporting surface. The paddle is preferably pivotally connected relative to the conveyor and a cam is positioned for engaging the paddle just prior to its movement into article engaging position. This cam serves to maintain the end of the paddle within relatively small lateral limits whereby the paddle can be inserted into article engaging position without sacrificing space requirements in the construction. The provision of the paddle is particularly useful in systems employing high speed conveyors as the supporting surface since the paddle insures movement of articles along the conveyor even if the conveyor surface should slip beneath an article located thereon.

TL;DR: In this article, a test method and device of the variable-paddle bearing friction moment of a wind-driven generator and an application thereof is described. Butler et al. used a fixed tool part mounted on a test bed, and a hub assembly system with a variable paddle bearing to be tested is mounted on the fixed part.
Abstract: The invention relates to a test method and device of the variable-paddle bearing friction moment of a wind-driven generator and an application thereof. A simulation test device is arranged on the ground, and the variable-paddle bearing friction moment is measured by a ground test, i.e. a cantilever beam device is mounted on a paddle bearing, and the tail end of a cantilever beam is loaded to simulate a load in the practical operation of a blower; under the loaded condition, a variable-paddle system is started, and test equipment driven by variable paddles is utilized to measure the loaded variable-paddle bearing friction moment. The simulation test device for the variable-paddle bearing friction moment of the wind-driven generator comprises a fixed tool part which is mounted on a test bed; a hub assembly system with a variable-paddle bearing to be tested is mounted on the fixed tool part, and the variable-paddle bearing to be tested is connected with the cantilever beam for test by a bolt; a loading device is hung at the tail end of the cantilever beam, and a balance weight for adjusting the loaded weight is hung below the loading device.
