TL;DR: There was one single skin paddle necrosis caused by erroneous manipulation of the flap 1 week after the operation; however, the skin paddle had survived completely before the manipulation, and all other flaps survived completely, with a good to excellent appearance, and no patient had a significant gait disturbance after theoperation.
Abstract: The double-paddle peroneal tissue transfer is a useful technique for reconstructing the extensive and complex defect that results after ablative surgery for oral cancer. It can facilitate the design and inset of the skin paddle and avoid the need for a second free flap. The two skin paddles can be based on either two cutaneous perforators of the peroneal vessels or two branches of a single cutaneous perforator. The authors report their experience with double-paddle peroneal tissue flaps (10 fasciocutaneous and five osteocutaneous) in 15 patients. The largest double paddle used was (16 X 9) (15 X 6) cm, and the smallest one was (7 X 5.5) (4.5 X 4) cm. All flaps were used for both intraoral and extraoral defect reconstruction. There was one single skin paddle necrosis caused by erroneous manipulation of the flap 1 week after the operation; however, the skin paddle had survived completely before the manipulation. All other flaps survived completely, with a good to excellent appearance, and no patient had a significant gait disturbance after the operation.

TL;DR: In this article, a power supply paddle of a charger is provided at one end of a cable extending from a power source apparatus, obliquely provided on one side wall of a housing of the power source, so that an opening of the paddle holder casing is oriented slightly upwardly from the horizontal direction.
Abstract: A power supply paddle of a charger is provided at one end of a cable extending from a power source apparatus. A paddle holder casing which receives and holds therein the power supply paddle is obliquely provided on one side wall of a housing of the power source apparatus, so that an opening of the paddle holder casing is oriented slightly upwardly from the horizontal direction. The power supply paddle is received and held in the paddle holder casing when it is not being used.

TL;DR: In this paper, a coupled interface converter paddle coupled to a serdes is determined whether it is a first interface converter or a second interface converter, and the communication protocol associated with the interface converter is identified.
Abstract: Converting data signals includes determining whether a coupled interface converter paddle coupled to a serdes is a first interface converter paddle or a second interface converter paddle. The first interface converter paddle is associated with a first communication protocol, and the second interface converter paddle is associated with a second communication protocol. The communication protocol associated with the coupled interface converter paddle is identified. Data signals are received from the coupled interface converter paddle, and deserialized according to the identified communication protocol.

TL;DR: In this paper, a sensor paddle rotates within an angular displacement from a fall point to a toner rest point, and a cam mechanism is connected to the sensor paddle and has a cam angular displacement relative to the drive gear about equal to sensor paddle angular displacement.
Abstract: A device and method for storing toner within an image forming apparatus having an upper reservoir and a lower reservoir. A sensor paddle is positioned within the lower reservoir for determining a toner level within the lower reservoir. The sensor paddle rotates within an angular displacement from a fall point to a toner rest point. The device and method further includes a drive gear for rotating the sensor paddle, and a cam mechanism positioned adjacent to the drive gear. The cam mechanism is connected to the sensor paddle and has a cam angular displacement relative to the drive gear about equal to the sensor paddle angular displacement. A pawl having at least one opening is mounted on at least one post extending axially outward from the drive gear and includes a boss positioned within the cam track. Upon a predetermined angular displacement of the sensor paddle, the boss moves along the cam track resulting in the pawl radially extending outward from the drive gear and contacting a toner supply mechanism for transferring toner from the upper reservoir to the lower reservoir.
