TL;DR: In this article, the paddles are used on a grain auger to assist material flow when changing direction of flow from parallel to the auger's longitudinal axis to a flow path at right angles to the longitudinal axis.
Abstract: Removable paddles are disclosed for use on a grain auger to assist material flow when changing direction of flow from parallel to the auger's longitudinal axis to a flow path at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the auger. The device provides a mounting attachment at the base of the paddle unit using bolts through the auger tubing. The base of the paddle unit extends nearly perpendicular to the paddle-shaped member oriented lengthwise with the auger's longitudinal axis. Auger rotation thereby positively ejects transported material on contact with each revolution of the auger. Each paddle exhibits an "L" shaped cross section and the area, shape and angular orientation of the paddle blade is determined by the material requirements upon the auger tubing. Methods of paddle unit manufacture are also disclosed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a flat-paddle drying machine is described, consisting of a drive unit, a cylinder, a stirring unit and a de-dusting unit, which is coupled with and driven by the drive unit.
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat-paddle drying machine and a flat-paddle drying method so as to dry materials. The drying machine is characterized by comprising a drive unit, a cylinder, a stirring unit and a de-dusting unit. The stirring unit is supported in the cylinder in a free rotary mode and is coupled with and driven by the drive unit. The stirring unit comprises a stirring shaft and a plurality of straight paddles distributed on a rotation shaft. An inclined angle is formed between the straight paddles and the axis of the rotation shaft. A sleeve heating unit is arranged on the outer side of the cylinder which comprises a material inlet, a material outlet, a hot air inlet and a hot air outlet. The hot air inlet and the material outlet are disposed at one end of the cylinder, and the hot air outlet and the material inlet are disposed at the other end of the cylinder. The de-dusting unit is connected with the hot air outlet.

TL;DR: A traffic directing wand for directing traffic in lighted conditions such as in the day and in low light conditions as mentioned in this paper, which includes a paddle and a handle, has been used for road traffic control.
Abstract: A traffic directing wand for directing traffic in lighted conditions such as in the day and in low light conditions such as in the night. The traffic directing wand includes a paddle and a handle. The paddle has first and second faces, and an outer perimeter comprising top and bottom edges, and a pair of side edges extending between the top and bottom edges of the paddle. The handle has upper and lower ends, and an exterior side. The bottom edge of the paddle is coupled to the upper end of the handle. The first face of the paddle has an orange colored surface for aiding the visibility of the first face of the paddle. The second face of the paddle has a phosphorescent surface for aiding the visibility of the second face of the paddle in low light conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper, a suspension arrangement for the paddle includes a pair of compliant beams having longitudinal axes (19a, 21a) that are substantially orthogonal to each other so that the beams provide compliant isolation to internal stresses while being rigid to external loading forces.
Abstract: An accelerometer (3) is of the type in which a paddle (6) is suspended from a support (4) so that the paddle (6) is displaceable with respect to the support (4). A suspension arrangement for the paddle includes a pair of compliant beams having longitudinal axes (19a, 21a) that are substantially orthogonal to each other so that the beams provide compliant isolation to internal stresses while being rigid to external loading forces.

TL;DR: An illuminated ping pong game as mentioned in this paper comprises a table which comprises at least one table leg and a net securely fastened to a the table along a median thereof, and an optional illuminated net is also described.
Abstract: An illuminated ping pong game comprises a table which comprises at least one table leg. The illuminated ping pong game further comprises a net securely fastened to a the table along a median thereof. The illuminated ping pong game further comprises at least two player's paddles utilized by at least one first player and second player. At least one player's paddle comprises a first player's paddle which comprises a first player's paddle handle having a first player's paddle handle ON/OFF cap positioned at a bottom distal end of a first player's paddle handle cylinder forming a first player's paddle handle cavity therein. The first player's paddle handle further comprises a first player's paddle handle illuminator integrally associated therewith. The first player's paddle handle illuminator comprises a first player's paddle handle illuminator light positioned at a top distal end within the first player's paddle handle cavity. The first player's paddle handle illuminator further comprises a first player's paddle handle power means electrically connected to the first player's paddle handle illuminator light and the first player's paddle handle ON/OFF cap. When an user rotates the first player's paddle handle ON/OFF cap, the first player's paddle handle illuminator light is activated by the first player's paddle handle power means illuminating a first player's paddle head which is securely attached to the first player's paddle handle. An optional illuminated net is also described and claimed.
