TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-tiered support structure with each of the tiers having a horizontally rotating pivoted arm having a float and paddle arrangement on one end and the opposite end is attached to an air compressor.
Abstract: A multi-tiered support structure, with each of the tiers having a horizontally rotating pivoted arm having a float and paddle arrangement on one end and the opposite end is attached to an air compressor. As the waves hit the paddles the pivot arms will operate the compressors to store energy. This energy can then be used to produce electrical or other types of energy.

TL;DR: A spreader for distributing a material on a surface is described in this article, where a disk rotatable about an axis and having an upper surface extending substantially radially from the axis is used.
Abstract: A spreader for distributing a material on a surface. In certain embodiments, the spreader may include a disk rotatable about an axis and having an upper surface extending substantially radially from the axis. A driver may operably connect to the disk to provide rotation about the axis. A paddle may secure to the upper surface of the disk and rotate therewith. The paddle may be aligned to rotationally engage particulate material directed thereto and generate a centrifugal acceleration therein. A controller may limit the centrifugal release of the particulate material from the apparatus.

TL;DR: In this paper, an external gear engaged flat paddle ship propulsion unit is described, where the gear drives the flat paddle with the external gear to pad and produce a thrust; and due to the restraint of the guide plate, the flat paddles with external gear rotates a half of a circle and forward moves straightly.
Abstract: The invention discloses an external gear engaged flat paddle ship propulsion unit and relates to the technical field of ship machinery. The external gear engaged flat paddle ship propulsion unit comprises a main shaft, a gear, a flat paddle with an external gear, a locating bar, a top plate, a base plate, a guide plate and side plates; the gear and the flat paddle with the external gear are arranged on both sides of the guide plate respectively; and the locating bar passes through the flat paddle with the external gear and is fixed between the top plate and the base plate. Under the driving of power, the gear drives the flat paddle with the external gear to pad and produce a thrust; and due to the restraint of the guide plate, the flat paddle with the external gear rotates a half of a circle and forward moves straightly. The device has a simple structure and very high efficiency, and can be used in ships and models thereof as a thrust device.

TL;DR: In this article, a die paddle is formed to exhibit a smaller peripheral outline than that of the first semiconductor die such that the die paddle does not interfere with any peripherally located bond pads of the second semiconductor dies.
Abstract: A semiconductor device package and method of fabricating same. The package includes a lead frame having a die paddle and a plurality of lead fingers. The active surface of a first semiconductor die is adhered to the underside of the die paddle and is electrically coupled with one or more of the plurality of lead fingers. A second semiconductor die may be adhered to the upper side of the die paddle along a surface which is opposite to its active surface and is electrically coupled with one or more of the plurality of lead fingers. The die paddle may be formed to exhibit a smaller peripheral outline than that of the first semiconductor die such that the die paddle does not interfere with any peripherally located bond pads of the first semiconductor die. The die paddle may further serve as a heat spreader, resulting in a more thermally stable package.

TL;DR: In this article, a flow sensor includes a paddle and a support member, which are used to measure physical characteristics of the fluid, such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature, and are disposed at least partially in an orifice and is displaced in response to fluid flow.
Abstract: A circuit board, which includes one or more sensors, is integrated in a fluid control device, such as a valve manifold and a base plate. The fluid control device selectively directs a fluid used to control pneumatic or hydraulic equipment. The sensors are used to measure physical characteristics of the fluid, such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature. A flow sensor includes a paddle and a support member. The paddle is disposed at least partially in an orifice and is displaced in response to fluid flow. The support member positions the paddle in the orifice and includes a plurality of strain gauges. The strain gauges are disposed on only one side of the support member and are mechanically stressed in response to the paddle being displaced by the fluid flow.
