TL;DR: In this paper, a printed circuit assembly, along with a server and method incorporating such printed circuit assemblies, are disclosed for determining a storage configuration for use in a computer system via a simple hardware change.
Abstract: A printed circuit assembly, along with a server and method incorporating such printed circuit assembly, are disclosed for determining a storage configuration for use in a computer system via a simple hardware change. The printed circuit assembly may comprise a paddle board slot for connection to a paddle board for determining a storage configuration; a bus coupled to the paddle board; and a southbridge coupled to the bus, the southbridge comprising signal lines coupled to the paddle board slot through the bus. The storage configuration of the printed circuit assembly may be determined via the paddle board when the paddle board is connected to the paddle board slot.

TL;DR: In this paper, a paddle card assembly is disclosed for use in providing a high speed transmission line for connecting electronic devices together, which takes the form of a circuit board that has two distinct portions, a base portion to which wires of a cable are terminated, and an extension portion that extends rearwardly toward the cable wire in order to extend between sets of wires.
Abstract: A paddle card assembly is disclosed for use in providing a high speed transmission line for connecting electronic devices together. The paddle card takes the form of a circuit board that has two distinct portions, a base portion to which wires of a cable are terminated, and an extension portion that extends rearwardly toward the cable wire in order to extend between sets of wires. The extension portion has one or more ground plane layers formed therewith and supported thereby and as such, the extension portion places a ground plane in the termination area of the connector, rear of the trailing edge of the paddle card to provide shielding between pairs of wires on opposite sides of the paddle card where the cable shields are cut back. The extension portion may have either a reduced thickness, or wire-receiving channels formed therein which accommodate portions of the wires of the cable.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic counting paddle toy. The electronic counting paddle toy includes a rigid paddle comprising a first side and a second side which is identical to and separate from the first side and contained in its hollow middle is a plurality of sound conducting posts, an elastic removably tether, a resilient ball, an electronic counter that works off the sound created when the ball hits the paddle, a display, wherein the tether elastically connects the paddle and the ball and wherein each impact of the ball with the paddle sounds and is counted and wherein the count is shown on the display, and structure for detecting the impact of the ball with the paddle thereby causing the counter to index upward.

TL;DR: In this article, a flat plate-inclined upper paddle 70 and a lower paddle 72 are fit to an agitation shaft 68 in the vertical tank 60 and a baffle plate 64 is fit vertically to the inner wall surface 60A of the tank 60.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To homogeneously mix and dissolve powders which are easy to float on the liquid surface and is hardly sinked in a liquid even if agitated violently or are easy to precipitate in the liquid in a tank with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A flat plate-inclined upper paddle 70 and a lower paddle 72 are fit to an agitation shaft 68 in the vertical tank 60 and a baffle plate 64 is fit vertically to the inner wall surface 60A of the tank 60. The position of the top end 64A of the plate 64 is not made higher than that of the paddle 70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus for loading semiconductor wafers into a cantilever diffusion tube with a boatload supporting a boat load of wafer is described. But this is not the case in this paper.
Abstract: An apparatus for loading semiconductor wafers into a cantilever diffusion tube includes a cantilever paddle supporting a boatload of wafers. The paddle is moved into alignment with the open end of the cantilever diffusion tube. The open end portion of cantilever diffusion tube is moved to surround the paddle and boat load of wafers. The paddle is lowered slightly, causing the boat load of wafers to be supported on an inside surface of the cantilever diffusion tube and providing clearance around the paddle. The cantilever tube is withdrawn from the paddle, which then is withdrawn from the path of the cantilever diffusion tube. The cantilever tube and the boatload of wafers is moved into the hot zone of the furnace. After a heat treating operation, the cantilever diffusion tube is withdrawn from the furnace, and the reverse operation is performed to unload the boatload of wafers. In one embodiment of the invention, a plug is inserted into the open end of the cantilever diffusion tube after the boat load of wafers is loaded therein. In another embodiment, a tube passes through the plug and communicates with an external coupling to an external gas source.
