Abstract: The allocation of facilities in a plant layout is a complex problem. For solving it, many authors have used Genetic Algorithms (GAs) with the objective of reaching an efficient plant layout design. To represent the plant layout design as a data structure, GAs require a defined encoding scheme. Such a structure defines the types of solutions that can be obtained, and influences the GA´s ability to find good solutions. There are a few surveys on facility layout problems, but they have not addressed evolutionary issues in depth. This work presents a review that focuses on encoding schemes and related operators used in GAs, and suggests a method of classifying the different encoding structures described in the bibliography. We also studied their main characteristics and objectives; and successfully identified the crossover and mutation operators that could be utilized depending on the type of encoding scheme.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for optimizing layout design rules, wherein aiming at research and development of advanced technological nodes, an initial layout is split from an initial layout, and the key graph is taken as a layout for subsequent simulation optimization; during the optimization, through combination of a light source masking and optimization simulation, a rational light source, a matched masking template and an optimized photo-etching optical model are determined; then, under the photo-etching optical model, manufacturability of the optimized light source and the optimized masking template is simulated; the design rules are optimized according to hotspot output of the manufacturability simulation; and the optimized design rules are obtained through repeated iterations During the optimization, the key graph layout is optimized, so that feasibility and optimization efficiency are high Through adjustment of the design rules, the quantity of iterations in the layout simulation can be reduced and the optimization efficiency can be increased on one side; and on the other side, the more optimal design rules can be obtained, design courses are simplified, and design duration is shortened

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout design system and a semiconductor device manufactured by using the same.SOLUTION: A layout design system of the present invention includes: a processor; a storage device that stores first unit designs at each edge of which a termination is not arranged and each of which has a first cross-sectional area; and a design module that arranges a termination at the edge of at least one of the first unit designs and generates a second unit design having a second cross-sectional area larger than the first cross-sectional area, by using the processor.

Abstract: In a method for collecting information of business cards in a mobile communication device including an image capturing unit, a recognition software and a page layout database having a plurality of page layout formats. The image capturing unit captures and converts a traditional business card into an image of a business card, and the recognition software optimizes the image to facilitate recognizing the image. The mobile communication device uses the recognition software and page layout database to analyze and recognize the image of business card according to the page layout database to choose a page layout format from the page layout database that matches the image of business card and, if the page layout format exists, identifies a character from the image of business card, and inputs and stores the character into a business card database in the mobile communication device according to the page layout format, so as to complete the data collection for the traditional business card.
