Abstract: A method for arranging a plurality of graphic elements on a page into a final page layout is described. The method (10) includes identifying a maximum cropping factor (CF) that determines the maximum amount by which a graphic element on the page can be cropped, obtaining (13) a preliminary layout for the graphic elements on the page by, assigning (14) a final area on the page to the preliminary layout, allocating (15) a final area on the page for each graphic element; and fitting (16) each graphic element to its allocated final area.

Abstract: An automatic layout apparatus for laying out elements includes a connection information storage area, an extracted-element storage area, a layout condition file, an element layout section, a layout candidate element extraction section, a layout candidate element selection section, and a selected-element determination section. An element is laid out by the element layout section. A layout candidate element is extracted by the layout candidate element extraction section on the basis of the result of the element layout section and information of the connection information storage area. Information about the extracted layout candidate element is stored in the extracted-element storage area. The layout candidate element is selected by the layout candidate element selection section on the basis of the result of the layout candidate element extraction section or the information stored in the extracted-element storage area and information stored in the layout condition file. The selection result is determined by the selected-element determination section. When a layout candidate element must be selected again on the basis of a determination result, a layout candidate element is selected by the layout candidate selection section. A layout method for the apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract: Aircraft equipment cabin layout design is an important part of aircraft design It refers to the reasonable arrangement of each piece of equipment and component in a limited space Currently, aircraft equipment cabin maintenance difficulties are common, time-consuming, uneconomical, and are serious maintenance problems In order to improve the accuracy and quality of maintenance design, a virtual maintainability design method is proposed, using DELMIA as a tool to build the virtual environment, which can be used to verify and improve maintainability The maintenance visibility, accessibility, operating space, and working gesture are treated as objective functions The functional constraints and aircraft equipment cabin layout rules are also considered, and are formulated as constraints Thus, a combination algorithm model for maintainability is presented According to the characteristics of the equipment layout problem, a modified particle swarm is used to improve the computational efficiency and solution accuracy Finally, the application of a fighter electronic cabin is studied in detail to illustrate the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed method The results show that virtual maintainability design can be implemented to solve the layout optimization problem

Abstract: In the invention, an information processing apparatus comprises: a document data receiving unit configured to receive document data of a plurality of pages to be printed; a setting information receiving unit configured to receive special duplex printing in which a page layout manner differs on a first side and a second side in setting information used for performing printing; and a print data generating unit configured to produce print data in which the pages are laid out on the first side in a first layout manner and on the second side in a second layout manner different from the first layout manner as the print data for causing a printing apparatus to print the document data received by the document data receiving unit, when the special duplex printing is set in the setting information received by the setting information receiving unit.
