TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of e-beam shot count minimization subject to bounded line end extension constraints is considered and elegant ILP formulations for both approaches are proposed.
Abstract: Due to the resolution limitations of optical lithography equipment, 1D gridded layout design is gaining steam. Self-aligned double patterning (SADP) is a mature technology for printing 1D layouts. However, for 20nm and beyond, SADP using a single trim mask becomes insufficient for printing all 1D layouts. A viable solution is to complement SADP with e-beam lithography. In this paper, in order to increase the throughput of printing a 1D layout, we consider the problem of e-beam shot count minimization subject to bounded line end extension constraints. Two different approaches of utilizing the trim mask and e-beam to print a layout are considered. The first approach is under the assumption that the trim mask and e-beam are used for end cutting. The second is under the assumption that the trim mask and e-beam are used to rid of all unnecessary portions. We propose elegant ILP formulations for both approaches. Experimental results show that both ILP formulations can be solved efficiently. The pros and cons of the two approaches for manufacturing 1D layout are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a single graphical user interface (GUI) is presented that allows an author to design a layout for the digital book, including editing text and inserting various types of interactive elements in the text.
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer program products for authoring content for digital books. In some implementations, a single graphical user interface (GUI) is presented that allows an author to design a layout for the digital book, including editing text and inserting various types of interactive elements in the text. The GUI functions as both a digital book layout design tool and a word processor to facilitate the building of a digital book. The relative page location of inserted widgets can be determined by a user-selectable anchor point placed within the text. An outline view of the digital book can be created and presented in the GUI based on a hierarchical structure determined by paragraph styles applied to the text. The GUI can provide a hybrid glossary and index page for allowing the author to create and manage a glossary and index for the digital book.

TL;DR: A learning-based aggregation analysis mechanism to decide page layout similarity, which is used to detect phishing pages, is proposed and four popular machine learning classifiers are evaluated on their accuracy and the factors affecting their results.
Abstract: The web technology has become the cornerstone of a wide range of platforms, such as mobile services and smart Internet-of-things (IoT) systems. In such platforms, users’ data are aggregated to a cloud-based platform, where web applications are used as a key interface to access and configure user data. Securing the web interface requires solutions to deal with threats from both technical vulnerabilities and social factors. Phishing attacks are one of the most commonly exploited vectors in social engineering attacks. The attackers use web pages visually mimicking legitimate web sites, such as banking and government services, to collect users’ sensitive information. Existing phishing defense mechanisms based on URLs or page contents are often evaded by attackers. Recent research has demonstrated that visual layout similarity can be used as a robust basis to detect phishing attacks. In particular, features extracted from CSS layout files can be used to measure page similarity. However, it needs human expertise in specifying how to measure page similarity based on such features. In this paper, we aim to enable automated page-layout-based phishing detection techniques using machine learning techniques. We propose a learning-based aggregation analysis mechanism to decide page layout similarity, which is used to detect phishing pages. We prototype our solution and evaluate four popular machine learning classifiers on their accuracy and the factors affecting their results.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method, system, and computer-readable medium are provided for creating, inserting, and reusing document parts in an electronic document, where a word processing application program receives a selection of a document part category, and a gallery of document parts is displayed in a user interface.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium are provided for creating, inserting, and reusing document parts in an electronic document. According to a system, a word processing application program receives a selection of a document part category. In response to the selection of the document part category, a gallery of document parts is displayed in a user interface. A selection of a document part from the gallery is received and inserted in the electronic document without the need for additional formatting. The gallery of document parts defines a page layout for the electronic document. Document parts may be created within the user interface by modifying pre-built document parts.

TL;DR: In this paper, user interface events are augmented with page layout data from the document object model and communicated to an event server to determine a location at which the events were generated and determine attention data for each event stream that indicates where a user's attention was directed during an interaction.
Abstract: During an interaction with a web page, user interface events are recorded and augmented with page layout data from the document object model. An event stream is formed with the page layout data and communicated to an event server. The event server processes the event stream to determine a location at which the events were generated and determines attention data for each event stream that indicates where a user's attention was directed during an interaction. The attention data for a plurality of event streams is aggregated to determine common or popular areas of interest of the web page.
