Abstract: We assess the prospects for new tools and flows in the interface between layout design and manufacturability. We begin with a review of classic elements of this interface, then focus on more recently critical issues: (i) layout design for reduced CMP variability; (ii) layout design for PSM; and (iii) layout design for OPC. Our discussion highlights the many ways in which layout affords effective means of optimizing manufacturability, as well as opportunities for research and development.

Abstract: SIMPL-DIX is an X-window-based interactive computer-aided-design tool for running process and device simulators from layout and process specifications. Using an interactive menu, scanning-electron-microscope-like cross-sections along a cut line on the layout can be generated and investigated. with internal analysis tools, the system provides design interfaces for highlighting locations where topography problems are anticipated (HUNCH), for identifying the effects of misalignment (WORST), and for critiquing the resulting topography profiles (CRITIC). As a process simulation manager, SIMPL-DIX allows processes to be simulated either rapidly with elementary models in SIMPL-2 or rigorously through calls to external process simulators such as SAMPLE and CREEP. SIMPL-DIX is also a convenient interface for generating input files for PISCES II and SUPREM III. >

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the album creation processings for laying out an image in an album which is pleasant to user SOLUTION: A page-preparing module is provided with a genetic engine for allowing an image group to evolve to plural album pages, on the basis of the predetermined layout reference, and a layout evaluation module for calculating the layout reference and comparing the same with the user's taste When the allowable image/page layout is generated, the image/page allocation is transferred to an image arrangement module The image arrangement module uses a second genetic engine for allowing various references to evolve, and for preparing page layout genetic structures These structures define the position, scale and rotation of the image arranged at the predetermined position The layout evaluation module calculates the layouts and compares them with predetermined other ideas and the page request When the proper layout is prepared, the final album output is prepared, and is displayed, printed or transferred

Abstract: A method and apparatus allowing items to be relatively positioned within an electronic document is disclosed. By positioning the items relative to each other, as opposed to absolutely with respect to the page, this allows for a greater versatility in the page layout. Utilization of this method and apparatus means that items can be automatically aligned on a page. Furthermore if additional items are inserted, the position of the original items can be automatically adjusted to ensure that correct alignment is maintained.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and a device for sharing page content, and a mobile terminal. The method comprises the following steps: extracting to-be-shared information in a browser page by the mobile terminal while extracting the page content, wherein the to-be-shared information includes pictures, characters and page layout of the pictures and the characters; editing the to-be-shared information according to a preset mode; and converting the edited to-be-shared information into a sharing file in a preset format according to a preset rule. According to the method, the device and the mobile terminal for sharing the page content provided by the invention, the sharing file in the preset format can be shared; after the to-be-shared information is edited by the user, the to-be-shared information is converted into the sharing file in the preset format; the disordered layout is avoided; the edition is performed in advance according to the user requirement; the user experience is promoted.
