Abstract: Paraconsistent artificial neural network (PANN) is a mathematical structure based on paraconsistent logic, which allows dealing with uncertainties and contradictions. In this paper we propose an application of PANN to analyze cephalometric measurements in order to support orthodontics diagnostics. Orthodontic and cephalometrical analysis taking into account several uncertainties and contradictions, ideal scenario to be treated by paraconsistent approach.

TL;DR: Paraconsistent quantum logic, a hybrid of minimal quantum logic and paraconsistent four-valued logic, is introduced as Gentzen-type sequent calculi, and the cut-elimination theorems for these calculi are proved.
Abstract: Paraconsistent quantum logic, a hybrid of minimal quantum logic and paraconsistent four-valued logic, is introduced as Gentzen-type sequent calculi, and the cut-elimination theorems for these calculi are proved. This logic is shown to be decidable through the use of these calculi. A first-order extension of this logic is also shown to be decidable. The relationship between minimal quantum logic and paraconsistent four-valued logic is clarified, and a survey of existing Gentzen-type sequent calculi for these logics and their close relatives is addressed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors deal with the most controversial episode within the Byzantine polemics on the Filioque, Nicephorus Blemmydes' acknowledgement of proceeding of the Spirit through the Son providing that the Son be considered as generated through the Spirit.
Abstract: Abstract The paper deals with the most controversial - in the modern scholarly discussion - episode within the Byzantine polemics on the Filioque, Nicephorus Blemmydes‘ acknowledgement of proceeding of the Spirit through the Son providing that the Son be considered as generated through the Spirit. The logical intuition behind this theological idea is explicated in the terms of paraconsistent logic and especially of a kind of paraconsistent numbers called by the author “pseudo-natural numbers”. Such numbers could not be interpreted via the notion of ordered pair. Instead, they imply a known (first described by Emil Post in 1941) but still little studied logical connective ternary exclusive OR.
