TL;DR: In this article, an air-cored toroidal coil has been used as a coupler for converting a much larger object, such as a forest, into a giant antenna.
Abstract: This device is an air-cored toroidal coil having dimensions much less than the wavelength of the applied frequency. It may be used as an omnidirectional antenna or as a coupler for converting a much larger object, such as a forest, into a giant antenna.

TL;DR: In this article, a printed circuit board has a plurality of antenna elements etched on one side thereof and a ground plane on the other separated by dielectric material of a predetermined thickness.
Abstract: A method of making an antenna array and an antenna array apparatus of a low-cost wide angle retroreflector is provided in which a printed circuit board has a plurality of antenna elements etched on one side thereof and a ground plane on the other separated by dielectric material of a predetermined thickness. Baluns are attached through the printed circuit board to each antenna element and to the ground plane and transmission lines of equal length connect spaced pairs of antenna elements utilizing the balun and matching the transmission line to the antenna element.

TL;DR: A portable radio device provided with an antenna small sized and not projected from the device for the convenience of handling, which antenna has two polarizations to be made operable almost free from disadvantages in operation due to change in electromagnetic field which are brought about with influences of ambient geographical features or houses as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Coulomb potential term a2E2(r) was added to a self-consistent Poisson-Vlasov analysis of the time-averaged effect of the radiation field near an antenna.
Abstract: At high frequencies the time-averaged effect of the radiation field near an antenna is to add the term a2E2(r) to the Coulomb potential. Its inclusion in a self-consistent Poisson–Vlasov analysis s...

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a broadband isotropic antenna of the triorthogonal type, which consists of three independent antenna elements arranged in a mutually orthogonal configuration, each of the elements is mounted on unfurlable partitions contained within an inflatable spherical enclosure.
Abstract: The invention is a broadband isotropic antenna of the triorthogonal type. It is a randomly polarized antenna system that has particular application in satellites. The antenna consists of three independent antenna elements arranged in a mutually orthogonal configuration. Each of the elements is mounted on unfurlable partitions contained within an inflatable spherical enclosure.

TL;DR: In this paper, an antenna is connected to a transmission line by a fixed capacitor, a fixed inductor, and an adjustable inductor which are connected in parallel with each other.
Abstract: An antenna, which has a plurality of coaxial, generally cylindrical portions interconnected by a plurality of parallelresonant traps to enable it to transmit or receive signals at one or more relatively high frequencies, is connected to a transmission line by a fixed capacitor, a fixed inductor, and an adjustable inductor which are connected in parallel with each other. That capacitor, fixed inductor and adjustable inductor are located adjacent the lower end of that antenna; and they enable that antenna to continue to transmit or receive signals at the said one or more relatively high frequencies, while also enabling that antenna to receive or transmit signals at a lower frequency - without increasing the overall length of that antenna.

TL;DR: A simple and inexpensive microstrip transmission line of adjustable length is described, electrically similar to the usual coaxial line stretcher and can be fabricated easily from standard printed circuit or microstrip boards.
Abstract: A simple and inexpensive microstrip transmission line of adjustable length is described. The device, although physically considerably smaller, is electrically similar to the usual coaxial line stretcher and can be fabricated easily from standard printed circuit or microstrip boards.
