TL;DR: A real-time solution that is a hybrid between standard shadow mapping and any of the current methods based on perspective shadow mapping, and combines two methods to minimize aliasing errors is proposed.
Abstract: This paper proposes a real-time solution that is a hybrid between standard shadow mapping and any of the current methods based on perspective shadow mapping. Existing methods are known to have aliasing problems. At little extra cost, we combine two methods to minimize aliasing errors. This is done by computing a plane equation that separates the two resulting shadow maps to get the best possible area-based sampling density. An additional property of this separation plane is that objects entirely on one side of the plane only need to be rendered into one map.

TL;DR: In this article, different configurations of notch antennas on finite ground plane are analyzed from a modal point of view, and the filtering effect due to the interaction between the resonances of the notch and the ground plane is explained with the information provided by the current distribution of characteristic modes, and their associated eigenvalues.
Abstract: In this paper different configurations of notch antennas on finite ground plane are going to be analyzed from a modal point of view. The filtering effect due to the interaction between the resonances of the notch and the ground plane is going to be explained with the information provided by the current distribution of characteristic modes, and their associated eigenvalues. Using a doubly notched radiating ground plane with two excitation ports, the undesired filtering effect is reduced, and the antenna matching is improved.
