TL;DR: Studies of a new Ce-doped BaTiO(3) crystal as an efficient self-pumped phase conjugator in the near infrared as well asVariations of the SPPC reflectivity with the λ, incident angle, and position of the input beam have been investigated, and a high reflectivity of approximately 80% has been obtained.
Abstract: Studies of a new Ce-doped BaTiO3 crystal as an efficient self-pumped phase conjugator in the near infrared are presented. The internal beam production during the establishment of self-pumped phase conjugation (SPPC) is closely observed, and the corresponding mechanisms of SPPC are identified accordingly. When the incident beam is in an a-face-incidence geometric arrangement, it is observed for the first time that SPPC mechanism has a transition from stimulated photorefractive backscattering and four-wave mixing to total internal reflection when λ is varied from 706 to 733 nm. Variations of the SPPC reflectivity with the λ, incident angle, and position of the input beam have been investigated, and a high reflectivity of approximately 80% has been obtained. In addition, SPPC reflectivity of approximately 40% is obtained when the incident beam enters the crystal by the +c face, and a variation with λ of optical beam patterns in the crystal has also been observed. Qualitative explanations of the phenomenon of SPPC mechanism transition with λ that will be very useful in practical applications are given.

TL;DR: In this paper, two-beam coupling configurations were employed to obtain the phase conjugate image and edge extraction of an object using photorefractive KNbO 3 : Fe.
Abstract: Two-beam coupling configurations are employed to obtain the phase conjugate image and edge extraction of an object using photorefractive KNbO 3 : Fe. Also, the self-organization of a beam in the material into a hexagonal spot array is utilized to broadcast an input object to the location of each of the spots.

TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid finite difference time domain (FDTD) numerical technique and physical optics approximation in conjunction with the phase conjugation method is used, for the computation of the transmitted field through different walls and image formation.
Abstract: In this paper the phenomenology of the near-field microwave imaging through walls is examined. A hybrid finite difference time domain (FDTD) numerical technique and physical optics (PO) approximation in conjunction with the phase conjugation method is used, for the computation of the transmitted field through different walls and image formation. Numerical results, delineating features of wideband and wide angle wave propagation and imaging through walls are presented.

TL;DR: In this paper, the saturation effects in resonant degenerate backward four-wave mixing on a coupled transition involving Zeeman sublevels were investigated and it was shown that Zeeman coherence between the ground state degenerate sublevels provides the dominant nonlinear mechanism in the phase conjugation process.

TL;DR: First report of highly efficient phase conjugation in a laser-pumped polymer-dye saturable amplifier with high reflectivity in the broad wavelength region from 556 to 567 nm is presented.
Abstract: We present the first report to the best of our knowledge of highly efficient phase conjugation in a laser-pumped polymer-dye saturable amplifier. Phase-conjugate reflectivity of as much as 210% at 560 nm has been obtained. Moreover, efficient reflectivity has been obtained in the broad wavelength region from 556 to 567 nm.
