Abstract: A laminate film including a first polyolefin heat sealable resin layer and a second core layer including of a blend of 5-15 wt % of a metallocene-catalyzed butene-propylene or ethylene-propylene thermoplastic elastomer or ethylene-propylene plastomer or blends thereof which exhibit an isothermal crystallization temperature of 60° C. or less and 95-85 wt % of a crystalline propylene homopolymer is disclosed. The laminate film may include additional layers such as a third polyolefin resin-containing layer disposed on the side of the core layer opposite the heat sealable layer, a metal layer, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: Blends of propylene based plastomer (DP) and ethylene/1-octene copolymer (EOC) of various concentrations are prepared by a melt-blending process at 160°C, using a corotating twin-screw extruder The rheology, phase morphology, and mechanical and thermal properties of DP/EOC blends are investigated The results show that addition of DP in EOC can lead to significant improvement of mechanical properties, including yield strength, strength at break, and Young's modulus, concomitant with the reduction of melt viscosity The experimental data for melt viscosity and elongation at break respectively display a positive deviation from additivity, indicating the enhancement of the component interaction and superior interface properties between DP and EOC phases The transition from plastic to elastomeric properties coincides with phase inversion At this 85/15 DP/EOC composition, the decrease in the viscosity of DP matrix enhances EOC dispersed phase size, due to the increase in their viscosity mismatch DSC analys

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition suitable for use in extrusion coating processes to form a heat sealable film. The composition comprises from 50 to 92 percent by weight of a propylene based plastomer or elastomer and from 8 to 50 percent by weight of low density polyethylene. The invention also relates to heat sealable seals, and particularly peelable seals made from the compositions. The compositions of the present invention allow desired physical characteristics in combination with improved processability (low neck-in) as compared to existing homogeneous ethylene copolymer solutions.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer film having moisture absorbing capacity and provided with a polypropylene-based material, which can be formed into a film by an air-cooled inflation method. SOLUTION: This multilayer film having moisture absorbing capacity has a lamination unit in which a resin layer 14, comprising a polypropylene-based resin as a main component, is laminated on one side of a resin composition layer 11, where a desiccant 102 is blended in a polyethylene resin, ethylene-α-olefin resin, ethylene-based copolymer resin or mixture thereof, through a resin layer 13 containing as a main component an ethylenic plastomer or ethylenic elastomer comprising an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer resin having 0.850-0.925 g/cm 3 density range and obtained by using a single site-based catalyst; further the multilayer film is characterized in that a low density polyethylene or an ethylene-based copolymer having long chain branching structure is used as the resin composition layer 11. The films and film structures have at least one layer comprising a polyolefin plastomer or elastomer together with relatively high levels of inorganic filler. The batch inclusion packages are useful in wrapping or containing various materials, such as asphalt or bitumen, as the packages are very miscible in such materials.

Abstract: A thermoplastic rubber composition for molding a vacuum adsorption plate, and a vacuum adsorption plate obtained from the composition are provided to improve hardness, adsorption, adhesion, flexibility, heat resistant antiaging property and cold resistance. A thermoplastic rubber composition for molding a vacuum adsorption plat comprises 40-45 wt% of a polystyrene-based resin of a thermoplastic rubber; 19 wt% of a paraffin oil; 1 wt% of an antioxidizing agent; 10-15 wt% of a polyurethane compound of a thermoplastic rubber; 20 wt% of a polyolefin-based plastomer polymer; and 5 wt% of polypropylene.

Abstract: The utility model relates to an economic environmental-friendly plastomer modified asphalt waterproof coiled material which is low in price and is also favorable for environment protection and ageing resistance. The utility model is composed of upper and lower cladding layers, a central base layer and a modified asphalt compound layer; wherein, the modified asphalt compound layer is provided with the modified asphalt compound comprising asphalt, thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber, polypropylene resin, waste rubber powder, waste woven bags, waste engine oil and filler heavy calcium; the waste rubber powder made of unused thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber shoe sole scrap is used to substitute part of the styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) raw material; the old polypropylene woven bags are used to substitute part of the polypropylene resin; and the waste engine oil is used to substitute the novel engine oil. Thus part of the waste is absorbed and consumed to facilitate environment protection, and can effectively reduce the consumption of the existing valuable chemical raw material so that the product performance can be greatly improved; the product cost can be effectively reduced; the service life of the product can be reliably guaranteed and each index can reach the standard. Thus, the utility model has obvious maneuverability and practicability, and surely will have wide market application prospect.
