TL;DR: In this article, a composite material comprising a silicone elastomer combined with another component, which is either a vulcanisable (crosslinkable) or thermoplastic elastomers, or is a plastomer, having properties which are complementary to those of the silicone elasticity is described.
Abstract: Composite material comprising a silicone elastomer combined with another component, which is a vulcanisable (crosslinkable) or thermoplastic elastomer, or is a plastomer, having properties which are complementary to those of the silicone elastomer The combination is produced by way of a bonding (binding) means interposed between the two components of the composite material; the bonding (binding) means is either a mechanical means or a grafting elastomer Application to the production of tubular structure such as pipes, tubes, thermal-insulation sleeves and, in particular, radiator hosing

TL;DR: In this paper, a multilayer film having moisture absorbing capacity has a lamination unit in which a resin layer 14, comprising a polypropylene-based resin as a main component, is laminated on one side of a resin composition layer 11.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer film having moisture absorbing capacity and provided with a polypropylene-based material, which can be formed into a film by an air-cooled inflation method. SOLUTION: This multilayer film having moisture absorbing capacity has a lamination unit in which a resin layer 14, comprising a polypropylene-based resin as a main component, is laminated on one side of a resin composition layer 11, where a desiccant 102 is blended in a polyethylene resin, ethylene-α-olefin resin, ethylene-based copolymer resin or mixture thereof, through a resin layer 13 containing as a main component an ethylenic plastomer or ethylenic elastomer comprising an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer resin having 0.850-0.925 g/cm 3 density range and obtained by using a single site-based catalyst; further the multilayer film is characterized in that a low density polyethylene or an ethylene-based copolymer having long chain branching structure is used as the resin composition layer 11. TL;DR: A pressure resistant, insulating tube, particularly for sealing the ends of heavy duty cables is pref. irradiation cross-linked polyethylene as mentioned in this paper reinforced with fabric and formed from an elastic, oil, water, light, ozone and age resistant material such as an elastomer and/or a plastomer, the tube being surrounded by a sheath of crosslinked polyolefine shrunk on to it.
Abstract: A pressure resistant, insulating tube, particularly for sealing the ends of heavy duty cables is pref. reinforced with fabric and formed from an elastic, oil, water, light, ozone and age resistant material such as an elastomer and/or a plastomer, the tube being surrounded by a sheath of cross-linked polyolefine shrunk on to it. The use of an outer layer of cross-linked polyolefine provides a cable insulation with high resistance to mechanical stress and stray currents. The external sheath is pref. irradiation cross-linked polyethylene.

TL;DR: In this paper, a polypropylene sheet having a peeling layer that is well-suited to bond detachably to coated or uncoated fibrous substrates is described.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polypropylene sheet having a peeling layer that is well-suited to bond detachably to coated or uncoated fibrous substrates. The peeling layer comprises a combination of polypropylene, preferably between 20% and 70%, and a polyolefinic plastomer having a density of 0.85 to 0.89 g/cm 3 , preferably between 30 and 80%, that meets this requirement without further additives such as bonding enhancers, inorganic fillers or polar polymers.
