TL;DR: A multilayer polyethylene (MPL) as discussed by the authors consists of at least a first layer and a second layer and extrusion coated onto the first layer of the first film is free of adhesives.
Abstract: A multilayer film includes a first film including at least a first layer and a second layer, and a second film extrusion coated onto the first layer of the first film. The multilayer film is free of adhesives. The first layer of the first film includes a first high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a density of from 0.935 to 0.965 g/cc and a melt index I2 of 0.3 to 2.0 and the second layer of the first film includes a polyolefin plastomer having a density of from 0.885 to 0.910 g/cc. The second film includes a second high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a density of from 0.945 to 0.965 g/cc and a melt index I?2#191 of 4.0 to 20.0. The second film has a gloss of from 65% to 95% at 60 according to ASTM D2457.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-layer shrink film including a skin layer, a core layer and a polyethylene based elastomer is described, with a density of below 0.96 g/cm 3 and excellent shrinkage and stiffness.
Abstract: A multi-layer shrink film (10) including a skin layer (13) and a core layer (11) is disclosed. The skin layer comprises at least 50% by weight of a cyclic olefin copolymer and the core layer comprises from 5% by weight to 50% by weight of a propylene based elastomer, from 20% by weight to 50% by weight of a propylene based plastomer, from 1% by weight to 20% by weight of a hydrocarbon resin and from 5% by weight to 30% by weight of a cyclic olefin copolymer. The multi-layer shrink film (10) exhibits a density of below 0.96 g/cm 3 and has excellent shrinkage and stiffness.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a thin pavement method using mastic asphalt for thin pavement, in which the particle size of aggregate is reduced while following a particle size distribution of MASS, such that the thin pavement can be performed.
Abstract: The present invention relates to mastic asphalt for thin pavement, in which the particle size of aggregate is reduced while following a particle size distribution of mastic asphalt, such that the thin pavement can be performed; and to a thin pavement method using the mastic asphalt. According to the present invention, the mastic asphalt comprises 6-12 wt% of a mastic asphalt binder and 88-94 wt% of heated aggregate. The mastic asphalt binder comprises: 85-95 wt% of petroleum-based asphalt, 1-10 wt% of a polymer modifier, and 3-10 wt% of plastomer or petroleum-based wax with respect to the total weight of the mastic asphalt binder. The polymer modifier comprises an olefin-based asphalt modifier and the particle size of the heated aggregate is less than 13 mm.

TL;DR: Hoop iron comprises two metallic sheets, first one (1) planed, and second one (2) with grooved section, attached together us glue or spot welding, each sheet has thickness between 0.1 to 0.2 mm, global thickness is then between 0.,5 to 0.,60, due to allowances for grooves as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Hoop iron comprises two metallic sheets, first one (1) planed, and second one (2) with grooved section, attached together us glue or spot welding. When used for plastomer or elastomer sections, each sheet has thickness between 0.1 to 0.2 mm, global thickness is then between 0.5 to 0.60, due to allowances for grooves. An Independent claim is also included for the polymer or elastomer section.

TL;DR: The plastomer component has a machined annular slot (2) into which a split metal ring (3) carrying the external thread (4) is fitted as discussed by the authors, which allows the ring to be opened for filtering around the outside of the plastom component.
Abstract: The plastomer component (1) has a machined annular slot (2) into which a split metal ring (3) carrying the external thread (4) is fitted. The plastomer component (1) has a retaining element (6) cooperating with the slit (5) in the metal ring (3), to secure the latter in the annular slot (2). Pref. the split metal ring (3) has a dovetail notch (7) in diametric opposition to the slit (5) allowing the ring (3) to be opened for filtering around the outside of the plastomer component (1). USE - For use at high temps in jet of HV switch. (7pp Dwg.No.1/6)
