TL;DR: A differential pulse polarographic method, using the dropping mercury electrode for the determination of the herbicides atrazine, prometrine and simazine is described, with a view to its use for electrochemical detection of the Herbicides after their separation by HPLC.

TL;DR: By raising the detector cell temperature, the detector response to cis-dichlorodiammineplatinum(II) (DDP) can be shifted anodically to 0.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl, thereby increasing detector selectivity for this compound.

TL;DR: The number of electrons transferred in the reduction process could be accomplished and a proposal of the electrode reaction was proposed and the proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of MKST in commercial tablets, and results were in agreement with those given with a reference HPLC method.
Abstract: Thevoltammetricbehaviourofmontelukast(MKST)wasstudiedusingcyclicvoltammetry, directcurrent(DCt),differentialpulsepolarography (DPP) and alternating current (ACt) polarography. MKST exhibited well-defined cathodic waves over the range pH range 1‐5. No anodicwaveswereproducedoverthesamepHrange.AtpH1,theanalyticalpH;thediffusioncurrentconstant(Id)was2.2 ± 0.01µAlmmol ‐1 . The current concentration plot was rectilinear over the range 2‐20 µg ml ‐1 with correlation coefficient (n = 10) of 0.9943. The lower limit of detection (S/N = 2) was 0.2 µg ml ‐1 (3.41 ◊ 10 ‐7 M). The wave has been characterised as being diffusion-controlled, although adsorption phenomenon played a limited role in the electrode reaction. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of MKST in commercial tablets, and results were in agreement with those given with a reference HPLC method. The method was further extended to the in vitro determination of the drug in spiked human plasma. The mean % recovery (n = 5) was 101.38 ± 3.85. The number of electrons transferred in the reduction process could be accomplished and a proposal of the electrode reaction was proposed. © 2005 Elsevier SAS. All rights reserved.

TL;DR: In this article, the Cd:Se ratio of thin film from aqueous selenosulfite solution has been determined using polarography and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS).
Abstract: Cathodic electrodeposition of thin film from aqueous selenosulfite solution has been studied as a function of solution composition and electrode potential The Cd:Se ratio has been determined using polarography and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS) Polarography gives a composition averaged over the whole film (ca 3 cm2) while RBS gives local surface composition (1 mm2) The results of the two techniques agree within experimental error The average Cd:Se ratio was found to be close to 10 for a variety of conditions The effect of various deposition and annealing conditions on light to electrical power conversion efficiency are presented Cyclic voltammetry has been used to explore the mechanism for the deposition process

TL;DR: The association of the amperometric sensor with the batch injection analysis technique led to results that combine good repeatability of the current responses, wide linear dynamic range, high sensitivity and low limits of detection and quantification.
