TL;DR: In this article, a polycarbonate resin laminate for a liquid crystal display cover is proposed, which is a laminate of 0.5-1.2 mm total thickness in which an acrylic resin layer of 50-120 μm thickness is laminated to one surface of a poly carbonate resin layer by coextruding, and a hard coat processing is performed on the acrylic resin resin layer, and the surface in which the acrylic resin is not co-extruded is used for the liquid crystal side.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin laminate for a crystal display cover which is excellent in surface hardness, impact resistance, and punching workability and especially has high pencil hardness not attained in a common polycarbonate resin plate. SOLUTION: The polycarbonate resin laminate for a liquid crystal display cover is a laminate of 0.5-1.2 mm total thickness in which an acrylic resin layer of 50-120 μm thickness is laminated to one surface of a polycarbonate resin layer by coextruding, and a hard coat processing is performed on the acrylic resin layer, and the surface in which the acrylic resin is not coextruded is used for a liquid crystal side. Abstract: A railway component comprises a polycarbonate composition comprising: a first polycarbonate selected from a linear polycarbonate homopolymer, a branched polycarbonate, a poly(carbonate-bisphenol arylate ester), a poly(aliphatic ester-carbonate), or a combination thereof; a second polymer different from the first polycarbonate, the second polymer comprising a poly(carbonate-siloxane) copolymer, a polydialkylsiloxane, a silicone graft copolymer, or a combination thereof, wherein siloxane units in the second polymer are present in an amount of 0.3 to 3 wt. %, based on the total weight of the composition; and 10 to 40 wt. % of glass fiber, based on the total weight of the polycarbonate composition.

Abstract: This paper deals with the determination of the main characteristics and the assignment of the molecular motions leading to the solid-state transitions observed in amorphous polymers at temperatures lower than the glass-rubber transition. First, the specific features of these secondary transitions (β, y, δ,...) are briefly described. Then, the behaviour of various polymer systems is analysed: poly(cycloalkyl methacrylates) and their intracycle motions, poly(ethylene tere-phthalate) and bisphenol A polycarbonate β transition and the effect of small molecule antiplasticisers, aryl-alkyl polyamide transitions, the β transition of poly(methyl methacrylate) and its maleimide as well as glutarimide random copolymers. Additionally linear polymers, aryl-aliphatic epoxy systems, with or without antiplasticisers, illustrate the case of crosslinked amorphous polymers. Whereas all the systems considered were investigated by dynamic mechanical measurements and 13 C solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance experiments, some systems were also studied by other techniques such as dielectric relaxation and molecular modelling. Poly(methyl methacrylate) and bisphenol A polycarbonate constitute the best examples of the level of description of the molecular motions involved in the β transition and, in particular, the nature and extent of the cooperativity which develops in the high-temperature part of the transition. This is achieved by combining all the experimental and modelling techniques presently available.
