TL;DR: The compound polysaccharide disclosed by the invention is capable of effectively prolonging the average life of wild and oxidative stress models and protein aggregation toxic models through the verification of a caenorhabditis elegans model experiment as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The invention discloses an application of a ginseng and polygonum multiflorum compound polysaccharide in preparation of health foods with an anti-aging effect. The compound polysaccharide is the ginseng and polygonum multiflorum compound polysaccharide which is prepared from ginseng and/or polygonum multiflorum by the processes of water extraction, concentration and alcohol precipitation. The compound polysaccharide disclosed by the invention is capable of effectively prolonging the average life of wild and oxidative stress models and protein aggregation toxic models through the verification of a caenorhabditis elegans model experiment, and the action way thereof is closely related to improvement of nematode antioxidant capacity, inhibition to toxic protein stress, enhancement of heat shock protein activity and adjustment of insulin signal pathway key nodes, thus indicating that the compound polysaccharide has good functions of delaying aging and preventing and treating the diseases related to aging.

TL;DR: Compelled feeding to 56 farm crops and economic crops in 14 families showed that G.grisescens was an oligophagous insect, only feeding on Rumex and Polygonum weeds.
Abstract: Galerucella grisescens is an important natural enemy which could significantly control Polygonaceae weeds in tobacco fields. The biological characteristics study showed G.grisescens was holometabolic insect.Compelled feeding to 56 farm crops and economic crops in 14 families showed that G.grisescens was an oligophagous insect, only feeding on Rumex and Polygonum weeds. It occurred four generations in the fields in Sanming,Fujian Province and had two peak annually. The peak appeared in the first ten days of May and the last ten days of July respectively. It had generations overlapping in the fields.

TL;DR: Wild buckwheat is highly unlikely to pose any risk to buckWheat-allergic individuals and the common names of plants should not be a factor in the risk assessment for possible cross-allergenicity.
Abstract: Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a commonly allergenic food especially in Asia where buckwheat is more commonly consumed. Wild buckwheat (Polygonum convolvulus, recently changed to Fallopia convolvulus) is an annual weed prevalent in grain-growing areas of the United States. Wild buckwheat is not closely related to edible buckwheat although the seeds do have some physical resemblance. A large shipment of wheat into Japan was halted by the discovery of the adventitious presence of wild buckwheat seeds over possible concerns for buckwheat-allergic consumers. However, IgE-binding was not observed to an extract of wild buckwheat using sera from 3 buckwheat-aller - gic individuals either by radio-allergosorbent test inhibition or by immunoblotting after protein separation by sodium dodecyl sulfate-poly- acrylamide gel electrophoresis. Furthermore, the extract of wild buckwheat was not detected in a buckwheat enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay developed with antisera against common buckwheat. Thus, wild buckwheat is highly unlikely to pose any risk to buckwheat-allergic individuals. The common names of plants should not be a factor in the risk assessment for possible cross-allergenicity.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for the preparation of polygonum multiflorum tea, which is simple in technology, low in energy consumption and low in cost.
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of medicine production, and particularly relates to a preparation method of a polygonum multiflorum tea. The preparation method comprises the following steps of uniformly spreading 10-20 polygonum multiflorum leaves in a withering tank, wherein the spreading thickness is smaller than 10cm, performing low-temperature withering for 10-15 hours, when the air humidity is more than 50%, gently turning over the polygonum multiflorum leaves every 4 hours, and steaming the polygonum multiflorum leaves until the moisture content is 50-55%, so as to obtain semi-finished products; conveying the semi-finished products into a curved trench machine, and performing curved trenching for 25-35 minutes so as to obtain curly semi-finished products, wherein trenching turnover frequency is 60-80 times/minute; and conveying the curly semi-finished products into an aroma raising machine, and warming and stir-frying the curly semi-finished products from the temperature of 30 DEG C to the temperature of 85 DEG C so as to obtain tea leaf finished products. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is simple in technology, low in energy consumption and low in cost. The prepared polygonum multiflorum tea has a rich nutrition value and a rich medical value and has the efficacies of nourishing blood, nourishing yin and loosening bowel to relieve constipation.
