TL;DR: In this paper, the seeds of polygonum are sowed on the surface of a nutrition-free porous material such as a polyurethane foam sheet 6 and water is properly poured to the porus material to grow polygonus.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily culture and harvest polygonum to be used for a garnish of sliced raw fish, etc. CONSTITUTION:Seeds 1 of polygonum are sowed on the surface of a nutrition- free porous material such as a polyurethane foam sheet 6 and water is properly poured to the porus material to grow polygonum. The grown polygonum can be reaped by a clipper type harvester.

TL;DR: The combinated application of Radix Polygonum Multiflorum Preparata, Adenophora paniculate and Radix salviae miltiorrhizae play the notable role on antioxidant damage.
Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of Radix Polygonum Multiflorum Preparata,Adenophora paniculate and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae on inhibiting oxidative damage of lens. Methods Aging models were made by hypodermic injection of Dgalactose into the 2-month-old rats' back of the neck.Give the rats gastric infusion with the decoction of Radix Polygonum Multiflorum Preparata,Adenophora paniculate and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae at the same time. The activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and maleic dialdchyde(MDA) in the aging rats treated with Chinese herbs was detected after 40 days. Results The activity of GSH-Px and SOD in herbs cure group increased significantly compared with senile model group(P0.01),and the content of MDA in herbs cure group decreased significantly compared with senile model group(P0.01).Conclusion The combinated application of Radix Polygonum Multiflorum Preparata,Adenophora paniculate and Radix salviae miltiorrhizae play the notable role on antioxidant damage.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors reviewed the pharmacological action and clinical applications of polygonum cuspidatum and its extracts, whether in vivo or in vitro, and summarized the main phytochemical constituents and pharmacokinetics of Polygonum Cuspidata and extracts.
Abstract: Abstract Context Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc (Polygonaceae), the root of which is included in the Chinese Pharmcopoeia under the name ‘Huzhang', has a long history as a medicinal plant and vegetable. Polygonum cuspidatum has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of inflammation, hyperlipemia, etc. Objective This article reviews the pharmacological action and the clinical applications of Polygonum cuspidatum and its extracts, whether in vivo or in vitro. We also summarized the main phytochemical constituents and pharmacokinetics of Polygonum cuspidatum and its extracts. Methods The data were retrieved from major medical databases, such as CNKI, PubMed, and SinoMed, from 2014 to 2022. Polygonum cuspidatum, pharmacology, toxicity, clinical application, and pharmacokinetics were used as keywords. Results The rhizomes, leaves, and flowers of Polygonum cuspidatum have different phytochemical constituents. The plant contains flavonoids, anthraquinones, and stilbenes. Polygonum cuspidatum and the extracts have anti-inflammatory, antioxidation, anticancer, heart protection, and other pharmacological effects. It is used in the clinics to treat dizziness, headaches, traumatic injuries, and water and fire burns. Conclusions Polygonum cuspidatum has the potential to treat many diseases, such as arthritis, ulcerative colitis, asthma, and cardiac hypertrophy. It has a broad range of medicinal applications, but mainly focused on root medication; its aerial parts should receive more attention. Pharmacokinetics also need to be further investigated.
