TL;DR: The Polygonum hydropiper extract is prepared by: adding ethanol solution having a volume concentration of 85-95%, 2-8 times as heavy as polygonum hyphorus, into polygonal hydropipers, extracting at room temperature 1-5 times for 0.5-3 h each time, combining the extracts, concentrating under reduced pressure to obtain extract, continuing to concentrate under low pressure, and drying to obtain polygonuma hydropainer extract as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The invention belongs to the field of drugs or health products and particularly relates to application of Polygonum hydropiper extract in the preparation of drugs to treat pneumonia. The Polygonum hydropiper extract is prepared by: adding ethanol solution having a volume concentration of 85-95%, 2-8 times as heavy as Polygonum hydropiper, into Polygonum hydropiper, extracting at room temperature 1-5 times for 0.5-3 h each time, combining the extracts, concentrating under reduced pressure to obtain extract, continuing to concentrate under reduced pressure, and drying to obtain Polygonum hydropiper extract. Experiments show that the Polygonum hydropiper extract can significantly treat pneumonia due to respiratory syncytial virus and canine parainfluenza virus infections.

TL;DR: In this paper, a direct seeding mixture of the polygonum viviparum bulbil is used for seeding, and the problem of low emergence rate after seeding of polygonal veinil can be effectively solved.
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of traditional Chinese medicinal material planting, and particularly relates to a polygonum viviparum growth regulator, a direct seeding mixture of polygonum viviparum bulbil and application of the polygonum viviparum growth regulator and the direct seeding mixture of the polygonum viviparum bulbil in polygonum viviparum planting. Specifically, the polygonum viviparum growth regulator comprises two or three of a rooting agent, gibberellin and brassinolide. The direct seeding mixture of the polygonum viviparum bulbil comprises the polygonum viviparumbulbil treated by the growth regulator and a water-retaining agent. When the direct seeding mixture of the polygonum viviparum bulbil is used for seeding, the problem of low emergence rate after seeding of the polygonum viviparum bulbil can be effectively solved.

TL;DR: In this paper , two active substances were separated using a series of purification procedures and determined through spectral analysis as (−)-3-hydrox-β-ionone and (−)- 3-hydroxy-7,8-dihydro-βionone, respectively.
Abstract: Polygonum chinense Linn. is a medicinal and invasive plant that belongs to the family Polygonaceae. The pharmacological activities and phytochemical constituents of Polygonum chinense are well reported, but the allelopathic effects and potent allelopathic substances of P. chinense remain to be investigated. Hence, this experiment was conducted to separate and characterize potentially allelopathic substances from an extract of the Polygonum chinense plant. The Polygonum chinense plant extracts highly suppressed the growth of cress (Lepidium sativum L.), lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli (L.) P. Beauv.), and timothy grass (Phleum pratense L.) seedlings in a species- and concentration-dependent way. Two active substances were separated using a series of purification procedures and determined through spectral analysis as (−)-3-hydroxy-β-ionone and (−)-3-hydroxy-7,8-dihydro-β-ionone. These two compounds significantly suppressed the seedling growth of Lepidium sativum (cress) at concentrations of 0.01 and 1 mM, respectively. The extract concentrations necessary for 50% growth inhibition (I50 values) of the cress hypocotyls and roots were 0.05 and 0.07 mM for (−)-3-hydroxy-β-ionone, respectively, and 0.42 and 1.29 mM for (−)-3-hydroxy-7,8-β-ionone, respectively. These findings suggest that these two compounds are in charge of the inhibitory effects of the Polygonum chinense extract and may serve as weed control agents.
