TL;DR: In this paper, a method of calculating the variation with time of stress resultants in a loaded concrete structure whose members exhibit differential creep strains is presented, where an arbitrary time function is chosen to express the variation of creep deformations of structural concrete and a normalized new function F(t) is introduced.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the importance of risk analysis applied to earthquake engineering and present an example of beam selection for beam selection in a simple portal frame by means of a risk analysis.
Abstract: The first part of this paper describes the importance of risk analysis applied to earthquake engineering. The second part describes the properties of seismic loading. The third part includes the mechanical analysis derived from the damaged boundaries of the simple portal frame. It demonstrates the form of the damage probability matrix and the sideways modified matrix, along with final determination of risk value. The last part of the paper seeks to find the proper cross section of the simple portal frame by means of risk analysis. An example of beam selection is presented.
