TL;DR: The current efficiency of the coulometric titration with electrogenerated cerium(IV) was not very high; however, it was found that the titration efficiency was sufficient to assay an iron(II) solution.
Abstract: An iron(II) solution is often used as a reducing agent in titrimetry and standardized with cerium(IV) or potassium dichromate. Such an iron(II) standard solution is needed for not only titrimetric analyses, but also instrumental ones. Iron(II) is unstable even in a highly acidic solution, mainly due to air-oxidation; therefore, its standardization is required before use. In the present study, the concentration of an iron(II) solution was accurately determined by coulometric titration with electrogenerated cerium(IV), and also by gravimetric titration with a standard potassium dichromate; new useful information concerning the stability of iron(II) solutions in aqueous sulfuric acid was obtained. The current efficiency of the coulometric titration with electrogenerated cerium(IV) was not very high; however, it was found that the titration efficiency was sufficient to assay an iron(II) solution.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used DNS oxidation colorimetric to measure the glucose content on the basis of the clas-sic potassium dichromate oxidation colourimetric can correct the ethanol content of the measured results.
Abstract: Because the fermentation broth often contains some reducing substances, for example glucose, when we use the classic potassium dichromate oxidation colorimetric determination of the content of ethanol in the fermentation broth, the result is often too large. In order to determine the content of ethanol in the fermentation broth, using DNS oxidation colorimetric to measure the glucose content on the basis of the clas-sic potassium dichromate oxidation colorimetric can correct the ethanol content of the measured results. The statistical analysis shows the relative average error of the improved potassium dichromate-DNS colorimetric measurement of glucose-containing ethanol standard solution is 0.95%,much smaller than 18.07%,the rela-tive average error of the conventional potassium dichromate oxidation colorimetric. It improves the accuracy in the case of similar precision,so it's more suitable for the determination of the ethanol content in the fer-mentation broth containing glucose and other reducing ingredients.

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-molecular complexing agent, a foaming agent and the like as raw materials are used for a gun-bore cleaning compound, which is free of harm to the bodies of cleaning officers and soldiers, is friendly to environment, and can replace the environment-unfriendly heavy-smell cleaning compounds containing ammonium carbonate and potassium permanganate or potassium dichromate solutions.
Abstract: The invention provides a gun bore cleaning compound and a preparation method thereof. The gun bore cleaning compound uses a high-molecular complexing agent, a foaming agent and the like as raw materials; the prepared gun bore cleaning agent does not contain carcinogenic substances such as Cr ions, is free of harm to the bodies of cleaning officers and soldiers, is friendly to environment, and canreplace the environment-unfriendly heavy-smell cleaning compounds containing ammonium carbonate and potassium permanganate or potassium dichromate solutions. The gun bore cleaning compound is free ofdamage to the human body and free of pollution to the environment.
