TL;DR: In this article, an electric circuit and a potentiometer connected to the input of the circuit and varying the voltage at its output were used for operating a dental hand piece with a motor drive and a pneumatic drive.
Abstract: A device which can be used for operating a dental hand piece with a motor drive and a dental hand piece with a pneumatic drive, such as a turbine drive, has an electric circuit and a potentiometer connected to the input of the circuit and varying the voltage at its output. An electric valve varies the flow volume of the compressed air supplied to the pneumatic drive. A switching device connects selectively the electric motor and the electric valve with the output of the circuit.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a circuit which automatically switches on the high-frequency current of a coagulation instrument with two leads. But the circuit is not suitable for high frequency current switching.
Abstract: The circuit which automatically switches on the high-frequency current of a coagulation instrument has two leads The first (1) is connected to a potention-meter (P1), whose other terminal has a 9-volt potential applied to it, while the second (2) is connected via a resistance (R2) to the base of a transistor (T1) A second resistance (R3) connects this lead to the neutral point of the voltage source The base of the transistor (T1) is earthed via a capacitor (C1), while the +9-volt supply is applied to the collector through a third resistance (R1), and its emitter is earthed Its collector is connected via a second potentiometer (P2) and a fourth resistance (R4) to the base of a second transistor (T2) The second transistor collector terminal leads via a relay (Rel) and a diode (D1), in parallel, back to the first transistor collector The connecting point between the second potentiometer and the fourth resistance is earthed via a second capacitor (C2)

TL;DR: In this paper, the power supply to an electric actuating motor is regulated by reducing the differences between current intensity or voltage and a reference value, where two transducers measure the current intensity and the voltage.
Abstract: The power supply to an electric actuating motor is regulated by reducing the differences between current intensity or voltage and a reference value. Two transducers measure the current intensity and the voltage. A selection stage chooses the higher of the two values and a comparison stage delivers a difference signal with respect to the reference value established by a stage of the potentiometer type. A regulator produces an action which is compared within a comparator with a sawtooth signal emitted by an oscillator. Depending on the sign of the comparison, a control stage supplies the motor during a variable fraction of the period of the oscillations.

TL;DR: In this article, an aircraft control simulator for use with a computer programmed for aircraft flight simulation, having a yoke, a throttle control and a rudder control, was presented.
Abstract: An aircraft controls simulator, for use with a computer programmed for aircraft flight simulation, having a yoke, a throttle control and a rudder control. A cabinet has a shaft extending therefrom attached to a simulated yoke control. The shaft operates an elevator potentiometer responsive to horizontal movement of the shaft and an aileron control responsive to rotation of the shaft. A throttle knob connected to a second shaft operates a throttle potentiometer. A foot operated potentiometer produces rudder control signals. A cable connects the potentiometers to the computer which utilizes the potentiometer positions to operate the flight simulation program.
